PART 3 – CHAPTER 150
JESS
Aiden turned sharply, frustration rolling off him in waves. He slammed his palm against the wall, his knuckles turning white from the force. “Fuck it!” he shouted, the sound reverberating down the hall, sharp and jagged. I jumped slightly, my breath hitching as the raw power of his outburst hung in the air.
Before I could catch my breath, Aiden spun on his heels, his eyes blazing with emotion. In an instant, he closed the distance between us and pulled me up against him, urgency flooding his movements. “Jess,” he said, his voice low and intense, “you need to stop pushing us both away.”
I barely had time to register what was happening before I was enveloped in his arms, the warmth of his body contrasting sharply with the turmoil in my heart. It felt familiar, yet foreign, and I was trembling, caught off guard by how tightly he held me. My body shook from the weight of my sorrow, tears streaming down my face as I buried my head into his chest. I was a mess, and I felt utterly lost.
“I can’t,” I sobbed, the words escaping me like a floodgate had burst. The tears wouldn’t stop; they poured out of me, a relentless tide, as my entire being seemed to unravel. I didn’t know how long I cried, but it felt timeless, a whirlwind of pain and confusion that I couldn’t escape.

My heart stopped.
Standing in Aiden’s place was Luke, rage radiating from him like a storm about to break. His chest heaved, and his eyes were dark and wild, consumed by an intensity I had never seen before.
Time froze as our gazes locked, and I was too stunned to move or speak.
“What the fuck?” Luke growled, the words laced with disbelief and fury as his gaze darted between me and Aiden’s crumpled form on the floor. “We just almost fucked in my car, and now you’re kissing him?”
The accusation cut through me like a knife. I opened my mouth to respond, but no words came out. I wanted nothing more than to explain, to make him understand that it wasn’t what he
