On the other side, high above Ingeni Paradise, Callide's eyes were open wide and she had an astonished expression after narrowly surviving a certain doom. In her confrontation with Rumine, she found herself bested and thrust into a dire situation despite pulling out all the stops.
Yet Severin was able to kill Rumine with a single attack, prompting Callide to ask with some disbelief, "Are you now a perfect-stage royal celestial?"
Severin affirmed with a nod. "I am. It's all thanks to the fragment of the heavenly heart imprint which I was able to obtain from the chaotic void a century ago."
Overwhelmed by the confirmation from Severin, Callide shuddered and inhaled sharply. It was clear that This was no ordinary adversary. She recalled that Severin was only a true immortal when he first entered the Celestial Realm. He had later earned her favor by slaying Robyn, a quasi-royal celestial. His rapid ascent to royal celestial status a century prior had been astounding enough, but to now reach perfect-stage royal celestial was simply beyond belief. He was already on the edge of becoming a quasi-celestial regent!
When Severin noticed Callide's stunned expression, he extended his hand and waved them in front of face. "All right, you can stop spacing out now. What's there to be surprised about? It's just a perfect-stage royal celestial attainment. Anyway, the two strongest individuals from the extraterrestrials are quasi-celestial regents. Now that Lawrence and the Heaven Palace has fallen, we are at risk of complete annihilation if we don't unite!"
Callide agreed with his logic. Callide then proposed, "Let's convene at Ingeni Paradise and strategize our response to their threat."
Callide recoiled at Severin's audacious plan and wondered why he would suggest something like that. Were Lawrence still alive, she would have opposed it without a second thought, but it was Lawrence's demise and the looming threat to the Celestial Realm that Callide decided to take a wild gamble. After all, she had nearly been captured alive by Rumine if Severin had not shown up in time.
After a moment's contemplation, she nodded solemnly, "You stand as the sole royal celestial in the Celestial Realm. We have been forced to a corner, and it is only right that sacrifices must be made. I shall order Ingeni Paradise to lend you our full support."
Severin's smile conveyed gratitude. "That is most appreciated." He then briefly discussed with Callide about cementing their alliance and outlining future offensive and defensive strategies. After that, he made his way back to the Longevity Alliance and was incredibly content with the progress made.
