“Mr. Laine, I know your time is precious, so I’ll stop talkin g nonsense. Your employee Holden Novak is suspected of stealing our company’s secret and at the same time, violating our non-disclosure agreement. According to the terms of the agreement, Holden needs to pay a high compensation fee to our company. And you are not exempted. You are his new employer, so if Holden leaks our company’s secret to you, you also need to pay compensation.”
“Also, you need to clarify to the public that you, Lane Automotive Group, plagiarized our design.”
As soon as Jax settled down, he took out a stack of documents from his briefcase. It was Homer’s internal non-disclosure agreement.
“Mr. Laine, you can look over this.” The lawyer behind Jax spoke slowly.
“No need.” There was no expression on Jasper’s face.
“Jax, you’ve said so many things and they’re all based on Holden’s violation of the law, right?”
Jax was stunned for a moment, then he nodded with a fake grin on his face.
“That’s right.”
“But what if Holden didn’t break the law..? In my opinion, not only did he not break the law, but I am also afraid he did not violate your NDA.”
Upon hearing Jasper’s words, a sullen look flashed across Jax’s face.
“Mr. Laine, the truth is clearly written here in black and white. I won’t argue with you. You can see for yourself.”
Jax opened the non-disclosure agreement and spread it out in front of Jasper.
The agreement clearly stipulated that whether or not a person was still employed by Homer, they were responsible for keeping Homer’s company secrets confidential. This was the case with Holden. Previously, Holden was an employee of Homer, but he was now working under Jasper. So as long as Holden leaked Homer’s secrets, he would be punished.
