To be abandoned by her groom at her own wedding was a huge insult to any woman, let alone Elibetha who had lived her life being doted on by her family.
The fact that she managed to hold herself back from cursing out at Warwick was only due to her upbringing.
“I-I’m sorry, Beth, but Xenna needs me… I thought she died long ago when she was actually fighting death this whole time. She‘s waiting for me. I have to look for her!”
Warwick’s tone was filled with remorse, but anyone could see the determination in his eyes. He had every intention to book it out of this wedding.
“Warwick, before everything gets out of hand, you can still turn around now. If this gets to our elders, there won’t be any way to fix this. You should know that as children of such powerful families, we do not get to decide who we marry. Do not act impulsively.” Harry patted Warwick’s shoulder and tried to persuade him not to run out of there.
This marriage union between Warwick and Elibetha was not as simple as it seemed. This was the United Kingdom’s first attempt in sending their forces into Qari.
After all, the United States was not the only country with its eyes on Qari’s assets.
The United Kingdom did not have the opportunity or capability before, but now that the United States was in financial peril, they saw a chance.
This was the same reason why the United Kingdom was so keen on this wedding going through and sent the third in line to the throne, Prince Harry, as a representative.
In addition to showing how they valued this union, they were also relying on Harry to step up and resolve any accidents that would prevent this wedding from going astray.
“Harry, that’s what I used to think too. People think that since we’re from a big powerful family, we must be living carefreely and to our desires. When in reality, we have almost no say over how we live our lives.”
Harry smiled a bit only to hear Warwick continue.
“But… But this is different. I’ve already lost Xenna once, I cannot lose her again!”
Harry’s expression soured.
Elibetha burst out into tears again and the room descended into chaos. No one realized how Jagoan, who had been neglected as if he was an outsider, was currently tinkering with the computer.
“Miss Jagoan, you were right! Warwick doesn’t want to get married again!” Edmund reported to Jagoan joyfully as he listened to the earpiece.
Ever since she decided to mess with the wedding, Jagoan had used all her remaining resources to set her trap.
Now, Jagoan had bugs implanted in every corner of the Mosque. Of course, this was only possible thanks to Abe.
Jagoan smirked confidently. “What’s there to be impressed about? This is nothing. If I’m right, the Elvis family and the United Kingdom‘s royal family will be officially involved in this. Then, Kimbra only needs to cause trouble and the whole venue will be shoved into chaos. That is when we make our move!”
Edmunds’ eyes lit up. “Don’t worry, Miss Jagoan. I promise I won’t let Jagoan out of our sight this time! His life ends in A. H. Mosque!”
