“Something‘s wrong with this email. The sender isn’t Miss Xenna.”
Jagoan’s certain tone put a temporary pause on the chaos going on in the changing room.
Everyone was baffled.
Warwick said angrily, “Now is not the time for nonsense, Mr. Jagoan. There is too much information within that email that only I and Xenna know about. If this isn’t from Xenna, then who could it be?”
Warwick wanted nothing more than to leave A. H. Mosque and find Xenna right now, so when he heard Jagoan’s words, his first thought was that Jagoan was trying to persuade him and buy time.
“No, Mr. Warwick, I said that for a reason. If this email truly was from Miss Xenna as you claim, then according to the background of this video, she should be in Qari. So why is this email’s IP address from the United States?”
Warwick was stunned.
Jagoan turned the notebook so that the screen was facing Warwick.
“I just sent this email to my friend in Somerland, and they managed to trace its sender’s IP address. If you don’t trust what I say, please feel free to have your men do so as well… I’m sure the Elvis family is more than capable of doing this.”
With concrete evidence placed before his eyes, Warwick looked conflicted.
“Maybe… This video was recorded in Qari a long time ago, but Xenna’s in the United States now?”
“But if she recorded it a long time ago, why would she send it to me now and ask me to visit her?”
Warwick was a little confused. He was no idiot, just a frantic man who cared too much.
Now that Jagoan had reminded him of this, he came to realize how weird it was.
Everyone knew about the United States‘ greed when it came to Qari’s assets, and once the United States was dragged into this, everyone began to wonder if there was more than met the eye.
“Or perhaps, there’s the possibility that this is an edited video. Maybe Miss Xenna wanted to say something else. Maybe she never meant to ask you to see her as shown in this video…”
Jagoan’s eyes were bright, and his smile was confident.
When he heard that Warwick had an ex-girlfriend he held close to his heart, Jagoan had a feeling that someone would use it to mess up the wedding.
Hence, he had Jagoan investigate the matter in secret and his hard work bore fruit.
