Faye finally spoke up then. "What were you up to today?"
"Not much. I've been cultivating in my room all day," said Wilbur, confused.
Faye scoffed. "Where were you in the morning?"
"The morning?" Wilbur blinked. "I went out for breakfast."
"Just breakfast?" Faye demanded coldly.
Wilbur shrugged. "Got myself into something stupid. What's up?"
"You took upskirt photos of a young lady, didn't you?" Faye demanded, her expression ashen.
Wilbur darkened in the face at once. "Are you kidding me? Would I really do something like that? Besides, I've already proven my innocence. I didn't take any photos at all."
Elsa could not hold it in any longer, bursting out laughing. "Dude, you've gone viral. Everyone's calling you a pervert online."
"What?" Wilbur exclaimed in shock.
Faron coughed. "Just go on any social media app and you'll know what happened."
Wilbur took out his phone and pulled up a video streaming app, and there it was, right at the top of the home page.
"Pervert Gets Exposed for Taking Upskirt Photos of College Student At Local Bakery—Death To All Perverts!"
The caption was accompanied by a thumbnail of Wilbur's picture, and the video now had tens of thousands of comments.
Wilbur scrolled through the other recommended video slowly. Something related to the topic would come up every few other videos, each caption more exaggerated than the last one. All of them were insulting Wilbur, calling him vile and disgusting names.
Wilbur's expression darkened at once.
This girl had gone too far.
He had clearly proven that he had not taken any photos, but she had still posted a video like this to gain traction and all these evil comments. What was wrong with this girl?
Despite Wilbur hardly being online, he knew a thing or two about just how terrifying the internet could be.
