That would truly be terrifying.
That would mean that the chaotic realm had somehow found a way into the dimension Wilbur was in.
According to what Wilbur knew, the beings in the chaotic realm were far from good.
That was a world where evil spirits and demons roamed free, a truly corrupted place that human beings of this world would never understand.
If those evil beings were to break into this world, it would be in grave danger.
The thoughts continued to plague Wilbur until the sun eventually rose.
Sandy and Lilian had fallen asleep on the sofas, snoring softly.
Not long after, Keane entered the room looking exhausted.
He first greeted Wilbur, grabbing a blanket to drape over Sandy and Lilian before sitting down next to Wilbur.
Wilbur described to him everything that happened in great detail, to which Keane was practically trembling.
"Your Holiness, you are a hero to the people of Millerton," he said, overwhelmed with emotion.
Wilbur frowned. "It's what I should have done. No one else would have allowed such cruelty to go on."
"You're right, but I'm afraid I can't run from my faults this time. This all happened partly due to my own negligence," Keane said in despair.
Wilbur looked at him. "This wasn't your fault, nor was it something you could have controlled. I'll be sure to tell the president that, so he won't do anything to you."
"Really? Thank you so much for that." Keane got to his feet, bowing profusely to Wilbur.
Wilbur waved a hand, gesturing for Keane to sit down.
Keane frowned. "The whole nation has been promoting the Church of the Flame Dragon Lord, and your role as Pope has practically saved the lives of our city. I shall announce the truth to the people tomorrow, and I'm sure it will be no time before the Church of the Flame Dragon Lord becomes the only religion there is in Millerton with everyone clamoring to join."
Wilbur smiled at Keane.
