That was the best he could do.
It was around afternoon when Wilbur returned to Banes, entering the cathedral with Lilian.
They sat down in the meeting room with the Archbishop Karl, captain of the church militia Cameron, and the Patron Saint Catherine.
Everyone else snuck glances at Lilian every now and then.
Wilbur first told everyone what happened in Millerton but left out many key points of information.
Right now, it would be better to have fewer people know about the chaotic realm as that would only incite panic.
Karl was shocked after listening to Wilbur.
This Pumido cult had been powerful enough to taint an entire city of people, which was truly terrifying.
Following that, Wilbur introduced Lilian to the team and asked Karl and the others to give her a position.
After a brief discussion, it was settled that Lilian would become the cathedral priest and begin learning and practicing sorcery.
Wilbur was surprised. "Sorcery?"
"Yes," Karl smiled. "You might not know this yet, Your Holiness, but the Patron Saint can now use a wide range of sorcery spells. It's all thanks to the faith of our believers."
Wilbur was stunned.
He, as the church pope, hardly knew any sorcery. When had Catherine become so powerful?
On the other hand, however, that was not so hard to believe.
As a Patron Saint, Catherine was able to use her natural charm to strengthen the unwavering faith of her believers.
In fact, the powers of faith Catherine had could probably rival Wilbur's.
If she had been focusing on finetuning this, she would have a good amount of spells up her sleeve by now.
At the thought, Wilbur turned to Catherine. "Congratulations."
