Travis nodded solemnly.
Wilbur snapped his fingers, and the six-column light prison disappeared, freeing Travis. Without saying a word, Travis simply nodded toward Wilbur and then left directly.
"Sir, why did you let him go?" Ben seemed somewhat puzzled. "Whether killing him directly or using him as a hostage, it's better than letting him go."
Wilbur smiled. "We all have our dignity. When taking action, it's important to use diplomacy before force. We, people of Dasha, uphold etiquette."
Ben fell silent, wearing a concerned expression.
Wilbur smiled faintly. "Their target is me now. You are no longer important. Don't worry, you'll be fine."
Saying this, Wilbur reached out to pat Ben's shoulder, but Ben, being tall and sturdy, made it a bit of an effort for Wilbur. However, the clever Ben immediately stooped down and caught Wilbur's pat.
Satisfied, Wilbur smiled. "The dinner is still warm, so you all should continue eating. I'll take my leave."
Wilbur turned and left. Ben watched Wilbur's departure, lost in thought.
At that moment, Lisa, holding her daughter, came to Ben, still shaken. "What exactly happened?"
"Perhaps Earl Hans has gotten himself into big trouble this time," Ben suddenly grinned sinisterly.
Meanwhile, Wilbur seemed to be in good spirits as he strolled back to the hotel.
Indeed, Ben had some idea of what was going on. With a lead now, he could probably sort things out when he went to see that Earl tomorrow. As for the rest, Wilbur did not dwell on it much. He was always ready to face challenges head-on, adapting to whatever came his way.
