Living With My Lady Boss by Blue Silver novel Chapter 1626

"Come on, now! What did you do to p*ss these people off? Don't hide any details. You'd either be captured by these men or killed if I hadn't shown up. To think that I actually believed you two were just arrested for shoplifting when I bailed you out! Things are clearly not as simple as they seem, huh?"

Wilbur had Betty brew him a pot of tea, and he sat on the couch sipping it slowly while he waited for a response from the two girls.

"You stupid girl! Come on, tell him already! I'd be six feet under with you by now if Mister Penn wasn't here!"

Betty was still shaken by what just happened, but she did respect Wilbur a great deal more now.

After all, no one would be dumb enough to think that someone who had just knocked eight armed men unconscious was a regular person.

Monica crowded over as well, fixing him with a smolder. "You're amazing, Mister Penn. I can tell that you're different from the average man. I like my men fit and ready to fight, you know? Those average blokes just can't satisfy me. I'm sure you must be great in bed, Mister Penn!"

Wilbur glared at Monica icily, promptly shutting her up.

He looked at Lacey next. "Since you're not talking, I won't force you. It's up to you to handle these men now, I'll move to another inn by morning!"

Wilbur got up to leave, acting as if he was going to move out by daybreak.
