Wilbur did not want to continue with the topic.

They were divorced, so she was free to do whatever she wanted.

He comforted Chelsea and asked about the progress of Willow Corp before he left.

He went back to Sealake Island and stayed inside his room, meditating for a full day until Nancy called him on the next

morning

“Umm… Wilbur, you said you were coming with me back to our hometown. Are you still coming along?“” she asked weakly from the phone.

He hurriedly replied, “Of course. Where are you? Wait for me. I’ll be right there.”

Then, she gave him an address and be immediately drove over.

She was waiting by the side of the road when he arrived.

She was wearing a white blouse and tight jeans that day, looking like a capable and well–dressed office lady.

He smiled and told her to get in the car. Then, they drove to Daneville, their hometown

They chatted along the way there and finally arrived after two hours.

He dropped her off at her house for her grandfather’s death anniversary.

She hurriedly said, “Please remember to come over for lunch.”

“Got it,” he replied before driving off to his destination.

He went to his grandfather’s grave and sat in front of it. He lit a candle and some incense for prayers and said, “I’m sorry. Grandpa. The engagement you arranged for me is a lost cause, but it’s not my fault. She doesn’t want to be with me anymore, so please don’t blame me.”

He felt emotional sitting in front of his grandfather’s grave.

His parents went missing while he was very young, so he grew up with his grandpa.

And now, his grandfather has passed away and he did not know whether his parents were still alive.

He had no family left.

“How nice would it be if they were still here,” he mumbled to himself.
