Chad let out a sigh. "Just sit down and keep your mouth shut."
He did not want his son to be humiliated any further.
Wallace was indignant but said nothing else as he sat down near his father with Wilbur and Wendy.
Just then, Chad said to the elder, "Sorry, Elder Yale. My son's still a kid. Please don't take it to heart."
The elder was none other than Yohan Yale, one of the top dogs of the underground circle in Taya City back then.
Yohan smiled. "That's alright. He's a kid, after all."
Wallace was in his twenties, and it was true that he was a kid to these older men.
Chad sighed to himself. He had built his mining business from nothing and knew that tonight was going to be quite an ordeal. That was why he had stopped his son from coming back.
Yet Wallace refused to listen to him and even showed up all the way here. What was he going to do if something happened?
As for the so-called expert that Wallace had brought back, Chad hardly even wanted to think about him.
This son of his had never been the most well-educated and had been scammed countless times. This time was probably another scam he fell for.
Chad did not have the time to get back at his son for that now.
Just then, Colin spoke up. "Elder Yale, it's past the time the Weiss clan set. Aren't these Weisses a bit too much?"
"It's only been a little over ten minutes. What's the rush? It's perfectly normal for delays to happen. We'll just wait," Yohan said.
