Chad did not have the heart to keep yelling in front of his future daughter-in-law, so he sat back down with a sigh. "Wallace, be good to Wendy. She's far wiser than you, and I'd feel a lot better with her helping you out."

Wallace merely nodded.

However, Wilbur could sense the implication of Chad's words. It felt like Chad was hinting at passing on his legacy.

Everyone looked toward the door. They saw a man in his fifties making his way in slowly with two people following behind him.

Shane was all smiles, waving to everyone else. "I'm sorry for my late arrival! The traffic was awful. Please forgive me."
