Wilbur turned around with a frown. "Why can't you just heed my advice?"
"I thought there was something off about you two, creeping around like you're up to no good! You'd better tell us the truth of why you're here or we're gonna proceed forward," said Jonah coldly.
Ryder could not take it any longer and piped up in a cold voice, "The Department of Paranormal Research and Defense is investigating this hill. All unauthorized people need to leave."
After saying that, he took out his license, thrusting it in Jonah's face.
Jonah burst out laughing. "What kind of f*cking department is that? I've never heard of it before."
"That's because you don't have the right to," Wilbur said coldly.
Jonah immediately became mad again and raised his rifle. It seemed as if he was about to shoot Wilbur.
One of the women panicked. "Mister Jemson, don't shoot! We're just here to have fun. It won't be fun if we have a casualty on our hands."
Her words seemed to work as Jonah slowly lowered the rifle and glared at Wilbur. "Just wait till we get off this hill. I'm going to let you have it."
"Be my guest," Wilbur said calmly, turning around as he headed up the hill with Ryder following behind him.
Jonah stared coldly at their backs. "Chase, tell the authorities about those two men. Arrest them the second they descend the hill. I'm going to teach them a good lesson."
"Got it, Jonah." The other man holding the gun was named Chase Yang. He took out his satellite phone to do as told.
Right then, Wilbur and Ryder left Jonah and the rest of his group far behind them as they picked up speed, making their way further up the hill.
It was not long before they reached the top of the hill.
