Living With My Lady Boss by Blue Silver novel Chapter 614

"You're not wrong there," the old man said in a deep voice. "We did swear to that, but where are these forces of chaos and what do they look like? I don't think anyone aside from our founders knows, so how are we supposed to do anything?"

"We can go looking for them if we don't know where or what they are. What about the Skull Cult? The Church of Bloodism? Don't they count?" Eileen responded.

The old man seemed unaffected by the interrogation. "Elder Fall, we haven't been strong enough to go outside since we lost our founders. I'm glad you can protect yourself against these groups, but surely you can't expect everyone to put themselves at risk?"

Eileen leaned back in her chair. "We will never be as powerful as our founders, but don't you think it's too much that the Skull Cult was in the country for so many years and we did nothing about it?"

"Well, the Skull Cult's been taken down now, hasn't it?" the old woman said.

Eileen replied, "It has been taken down, but not by us."

"We're living in peaceful times now, there aren't many forces of chaos anymore. Besides, there's the Department of Paranormal Research and Defense, right? We hardly have to do anything," said the young man lazily.

Eileen took a deep breath, furrowing her brows before saying, "That doesn't mean we can just keep lazing around like this. We've forgotten our purpose."

"That's a little harsh, Elder Fall. Mind your words," the old man said sharply.

Eileen chuckled. "Is that so? Fine, we can talk about something else. Is it true that our founders have a child?"

"That's just a rumor," said the old man.

"What if it was true?" asked Eileen.

The old man frowned. "If it was true and this person was powerful enough, they would undoubtedly take on the role of club leader."

"Alright, then. I just hope that everyone puts a little effort into remembering our club's purpose, and not just think about making money all day." Eileen got up after that, turning to leave.

The muscled man called out after her. "Elder Fall, let me know if there's anything you need help with, alright? I'll do my best."

"Thanks." Eileen left without even turning around.

The guy got up as well. "I'll be on my way, then."
