Everyone was there by midday. Gabrielle hadn't very many friends in Antawood, so she welcomed them all this time.
She even invited Macy. Macy was the one who asked her mother to be Gabrielle's instructor and had taught her how to bake cakes. Gabrielle would never forget the lessons she got from Macy's mother.
Macy arrived there last. Since she was not conversant with Half Moon Bay, a wealthy neighborhood, she almost lost her way as she came.
Gabrielle finally picked her up at the neighborhood gate. From a distance, she could see Macy holding a cake box in one hand and a bag full of all sorts of desserts and biscuits in the other.
Macy's family ran a cake business. It hence was her norm to take cakes as gifts whenever she visited family or friends.
"Happy holiday, Macy." Gabrielle walked over to Macy to greet her.
"Happy holiday, Gabrielle. I never thought you stay here. The place is refined." Macy greeted Gabrielle cheerfully.
Actually, the community was very close to Alorith University. The fact that it was situated in a rich area made it almost out of bounds for casual visitors.
Macy didn't frequent this type of place, so she wasn't familiar with it.
"No, this home belongs to my husband," Gabrielle said directly.
Having invited Macy here today, she couldn't hide the fact that she was married and she would introduce Macy to Westley.
She couldn't tell whether or not Macy would be stunned on seeing Westley.
She feared that Macy would be shocked. Anyway, most people thought of Westley as bossy, cold, and disinterested.
Gabrielle also thought along that line before marrying him.
"You are married? You have a husband! I have to say I'm surprised. You mean you got married in the last two months?" On learning that Gabrielle had a husband, Macy looked at her in full disbelief. It was a shock for her.
"Gabrielle, you aren't kidding me right now, are you?" Macy thought she was bluffing.
Gabrielle hadn't even finished university, but how was she married?
"I'm being serious. I've attained the legal age for marriage," jested Gabrielle.
Now, Macy was positive that Gabrielle had a husband. An excellent husband at that, since he had convinced her to marry him at such an age.
Maybe that was why Jax liked her so much, but she was uninterested in him because she had a far nicer spouse than Jax would ever make.
"Gabrielle, you concealed it well. Your husband, he must be quite good at getting ladies like you," Macy joked.
"Wait till you meet him. Maybe you'll get all your answers then." Gabrielle smiled brightly.
The look on one's face can tell their current mood. As for Gabrielle, it seemed that she was content with her marriage.
"Tell me you didn't learn how to bake in order to make him cakes, did you?" Macy's curiosity was on another level.
Gabrielle was first taken aback and then grinned. "Yes, it was the first time I spent his birthday with him, it would only be right if I baked him a cake on my own."
