When she saw the scary look on John Jefferson's face, Susan was suddenly a little afraid.
Before she could react, John slapped her heavily already.
Instantly, Susan's face turned red and swollen. The five fingerprints were left on her cheek.
But after the slap, John felt refreshed.
He finally vented all resentment he had piled up in his heart for too many years through the slap.
Chris and Esther were startled immediately.
When did his father-in-law become so domineering? Chris had a surprised expression on his face.
"Mom, Dad, what was that about?" Esther asked, frowning.
"Ha-ha!" Suddenly, Susan burst out laughing. "So I was not dreaming at all! It is all real - I seriously live in Cloud Bay!" In a blink of an eye, she was yelling like crazy.
They still had to rely on others yesterday and now they had the most premium mansion on the East Coast. The dramatic change made Susan feel like she had gone from hell to heaven all at once.
Chris and Esther looked at each other. In the minds of the two, a question mark suddenly popped up - did Susan go crazy?
"You bastard, why did you hit me that hard?" Susan glared at John shortly after what happened.
Immediately after beating Susan, John felt guilty.
Faced with her questioning, he hesitated, "But you let me..."
Susan scolded, "I asked you to slap me, but I didn't ask you to hit with all your strength! Darn it! Honestly, did you do that on purpose?"
"No, of course not!"
"Of course not? Like I would believe you! Don't you run away – you will have to pay for that!"
Susan then chased after John.
When they saw what happened, Chris and Esther burst out laughing.
