Jean Collins watched the two competitors on the screen and couldn’t help but feel anxious. 

Duke Austin had been leading comfortably until a sharp turn appeared.

Cheers erupted from the audience. 

Seeing that he was about to be overtaken, Duke ignored the need to slow down, and both cars rushed

Duke, realizing defeat was inevitable, absentmindedly failed to hit the brakes properly, crashing through the finish line barriers and into a wall. 

The crowd gasped and stood up in shock.

Duke had just removed his helmet and stepped out of the car.

The large diamond sparkled, drawing envious glances from those around them. 

Friends nearby began to cheer, “Marry him! Marry him!” 

Jean paused for a moment before nodding, “I will.” 

Berton, emerging from the racing car, watched the couple embrace and felt all his strength drain away. His heart ached as if it had been ripped out: “But I won the race…” 

He won the race but lost the person. 

It was late spring, the chilly weather was ending, and the willows by the riverbank had just begun to sprout new buds. 

Nydia suggested that they take wedding photos right away, and she could accompany Jean. 

Seeing Jean’s enthusiasm, Duke booked a studio in advance, planning to shoot several sets in Y City, with hopes of going abroad for more.
