When Henry carried Rosa back home, Cecil was very stunned.
"Uh... Uncle... What happened to my sister?" Cecil was very surprised.
"She drank too much!" The man carried her to the room and put her down.
Cecil pushed his wheelchair over and looked at Rosa who was drunk on the bed. He couldn't help but frowned. "She was fine when she went out. Why did she drink so much?"
"I'm going to get some water." Henry walked away and returned with a basin of water.
This time, he was holding a towel.
"I'll clean her..."
"Uncle..." Cecil frowned and stopped him.
"What's wrong?"
"That basin is... for washing feet... and that towel is for wiping feet..."
"Huh?" Henry was stunned.
"I'll do it." Cecil headed over and said.
Henry took out his coat and stumbled upon her stuff from before.
Therefore, he placed her ID card and other documents back into the drawer in her wardrobe.
As soon as he was done, Cecil came over.
"I'll do it!" The man rolled up his sleeves and wrung the wet towel dry.
Then, he carefully wiped her clean.
Cecil didn't say anything. He just watched him carefully wipe Rosa's face gently.
It looked as if he was handling a work of art.
Seeing this made Cecil frown deeply.
Why did he have a feeling that he wasn't just treating her as his niece?
"Uh... let me do it, uncle. I'll take care of my own sister!"
Cecil stepped forward and said as he couldn't stand it any longer.
Henry turned his head to him and noticed the unusual wary expression on his face.
Her words appeared in his mind. "Don't tell Cecil for now. He can't be agitated."
Forget it, he would find another way to let Cecil accept him.
"Okay, I'll leave your sister to you. I'll head back!"
He was afraid that if he stayed any longer, he wouldn't be able to bring himself to leave afterwards.
"Okay, uncle!" Cecil immediately sighed in relief.
He was really afraid that he would refuse.
Then, he really didn't know what to do.
However, seeing his uncle agreed so straightforwardly, he must have been overthinking.
"By the way, these two phones are for you and your sister."
He said as he gave him the bag on the table.
When Cecil opened the bag, he was stunned.
This was the newest iPhone model which had just been released. There weren't even any sold in their area yet.
It would take a month before there would be the first batch.
How did he get his hands on these so soon?
He was a little stunned.
However, he soon came to his senses.
"Uncle, this is too much. We can't accept gifts that are too expensive!"
These two phones were the newest model, and it hasn't been in the market in their area yet, so the price of each was more than 10,000 dollars.
Needless to say, the price of these two phones combined were definitely more than they could afford.
They never used expensive phones before.
Normally, they would get the ones that cost a few hundred dollars. The one his sister used was a bonus gift from topping up his phone card.
"It's a gift from my client. Miranda and the others are already using these. There's no one else using these. You can have it!"
"I can't, uncle. This is too expensive. How about you ask around if there are any friends who need it?" Cecil asked hurriedly.
No matter what, he couldn't accept this phone.
"Do you want to let that incident last time repeat itself?" The man looked at him and said, sounding displeased.
Of course, Cecil knew that he was referring to the last time he got sick.
During that time, he called Rosa countless times, but the call couldn't get through.
She blamed herself because of this.
"I know... I will ask my sister to buy a new one. There are a lot of mobile phones available now, eight to nine hundred dollars could get us a decent..."
"If you don't like it, then throw it away!" The man interrupted his sentence.
Cecil was stunned and was speechless.
"Take good care of her! Call me if you need anything!"
He spoke as if he was giving him a command.
Cecil nodded unconsciously. When he came back to his senses, the man had already left.
Cecil looked at the two new mobile phones in his hands.
He could only feel something weighing down on his heart.
The next day...
When Rosa woke up, she felt dizzy.
Cecil had already cooked porridge in the morning.
He pushed his wheelchair over and looked at her. He frowned and said unhappily, "Didn't you say that you won't drink anymore?"
Rosa looked at him, then she looked around their home. Her mind was still in a whirl.
"What happened between you and Grace yesterday? After you came back, she called you twice and I said that you were asleep!"
"Grace called me?" Rosa was stunned and hurriedly asked.
"That's right!"
"Where's my phone? I'll call her back!" Rosa rubbed her head, feeling a little painful.
Cecil handed her the phone.
Rosa was stunned. Looking at the rose gold phone in her hand, she didn't know how to react.
She turned it over and saw the logo.
"Where did you get this?"
Cecil did not speak. He took out another black phone from the bag on the table.
It was the same model, both having large screens.
Rosa frowned and immediately knew the answer to her own question.
"Sister... why is uncle so kind to you?" Cecil asked in confusion.
The corner of Rosa's mouth twitched slightly. Cecil asking her about this was the thing she feared most.
"Uh... because... because I am Miranda's best friend. Miranda told uncle to take good care of me..."
The more she blabbered on, the more she lost her composure.
Because of Cecil's unwavering gaze that was staring at her...
It seemed as if he could clearly read her mind.
Rosa bit her lips. "Cecil..."
"Sister, the wealth gap between us is too big..." Cecil only said this sentence.
