Halfway along the road, it started pouring.
Rosa frowned. She looked at Henry and said softly, "Uncle, my brother still hasn't returned yet!"
Henry hugged her and comforted her. "Leonardo has already sent him back. Don't worry, Denny will go and accompany him later."
"Eh? Why? Am I not going back tonight?"
He drew closer to her ear as he smiled. "Tonight is our wedding night!"
Rosa froze, and her ears turned pink. She lowered her eyes and stammered, "Stop... stop spouting nonsense!"
The man smiled at her pink ears. Then he chuckled lowly and said, "Ever since we got our marriage certificate, we haven't got the chance to spend the night together. How is it not our wedding night?"
She blushed and looked at his deep eyes before refuting him. "Just now when I saw the marriage certificate, we've already... already..."
"Already what?" He played dumb.
"Stop it. It's raining heavily. I have to go home!" She hurriedly pushed him, looking embarrassed.
"How could he be like this?" She wondered.
Uncle Denny was still in the car. How could he say it out so openly?
"Go home? We're already married. How could a husband and wife live separately?"
Rosa frowned and looked at him. "What do you mean?"
"It means that you must live with me in the future." He said firmly.
"We already agreed that even if we're dating, we won't live together. I can go there occasionally, but..." Rosa said unhappily.
"That's when we were dating, now we're married!" He interrupted her. He stared at her deeply. There was no room for her to refute.
Rosa was a little upset. She pouted and said nothing.
Seeing this, the man took her hand and chuckled. "Look, you're wearing my ring. We've already got a marriage certificate. How can a husband and wife live separately?"
Rosa bit her lip and thought for a moment. "But I feel like... like... I'm being sugared by you..."
Originally, she had nothing at all.
But now, he gave her everything.
She felt terrible.
She didn't know how everyone else would think of her.
"What are you talking about? I'm just fulfilling my role as a husband. Moreover, I've said that I'm willing to raise you. Who's going to stop me?"
The man was also a little angry. He raised his voice and argued with her.
Rosa was speechless. Looking at his childish behaviour, she found it funny although she was angry.
"I can't argue with you. Anyway, I'm going home today!"
She was very worried about Cecil now. When he dragged her away, she was in shock.
She even forgot to bring Cecil with her. His mother didn't like her.
Would she vent her anger on Cecil?
"Don't worry. With Leonardo there, no one will bully him!"
"If I don't go back, Cecil will worry about me too!"
Would Cecil be able to accept her sudden marriage?
"Don't worry about Cecil. He already knows everything."
"Knows about what?"
"What do you think I told him for him to agree to come?" He smiled faintly with an unreadable expression.
Rosa frowned and thought for a while. Suddenly, she widened her eyes and asked, "Does he know that we got our marriage certificate?"
Henry narrowed his eyes and smiled gently as he said, "You've finally figured it out!"
Only then did Rosa understand why Cecil had agreed to let her come.
"Does he know all about it?"
"Don't worry about him. I've already asked for his permission!"
"Ask for permission?"
"I asked him permission to bring you home tonight. He agreed." He smiled charmingly.
Rosa frowned and asked, "I don't believe it was that simple. He agreed after you told him we got married? You should know that he was against us being together. Tell me the truth, uncle. What else did you guys talk about?"
Henry's lips curled into a smile as he caressed her head. "Girl, do you know how much people would pay me for 10 minutes of my time?"
Rosa had no idea.
"Then, do you know that if I wanted to sign a contract, I only need 10 minutes to convince them? You know, I could change their mind in 10 minutes if they wanted to sign the contract with another company."
He looked at her, who was in a daze.
He chuckled and said, "So, you don't need to know what I talked about with Cecil. It's a promise between us men. You only need to know that he accepted me as his brother-in-law."
Rosa stopped talking. She knew how powerful this man was.
Now, she was a little worried. She didn't know how her brother had been brainwashed by him!
Because of the rain, the car took about ten minutes more to reach its destination.
After getting out of the car, Henry held the umbrella as he led her inside.
"Where is this place?" Rosa stopped and looked at the western-style villa.
"Don't you know that I have a villa at Silver Beach?"
"Is this... that villa?"
"Yup!" He hugged her and walked in.
"Sir!" A servant opened the door immediately.
"This is Aunt Abbie. She's the one who cleans this place." Henry introduced.
"Aunt Abbie..." Rosa addressed her obediently.
"Hi!" Aunt Abbie immediately replied with a smile.
"This is my wife!" Henry smiled and said.
Aunt Abbie paused for a moment, then she grinned and called out with great enthusiasm, "Madam!"
Rosa was very embarrassed, and she was a little cautious.
"There are no other servants here. Aunt Abbie is not an outsider. You don't have to be so cautious." He seemed to have read her thoughts and said.
Rosa nodded. It was good that there were not many people here. She was really not used to being served by many people.
