The nights came earlier during early winter.
By the time Henry returned, they had already eaten.
He seemed to be in a good mood, wearing a big warm smile on his lips.
Aunt Abbie immediately went forward and took his jacket.
"Uncle, can I stay here tonight?" Miranda immediately went up to him.
Of course, Rosa completely supported this suggestion.
But her mother didn't agree and insisted on her going back.
She then lied, saying her uncle asked her to stay.
Therefore, she had to convince Henry.
"You're... staying here?" Henry frowned slightly and looked upset.
This was his wedding night. This girl was here to make trouble!
"I won't disturb you. There are so many rooms here. Right, uncle?" Miranda smiled slightly and pointed to the schoolbag beside her. "I already asked the driver to bring my schoolbag over in the afternoon. Tomorrow morning I can go to school with Rosa. Oh, I mean, with my aunt!"
Rosa couldn't help blushing after being called her aunt.
"I'll get Aunt Abbie to clean the room upstairs for you."
"No, I... I'll stay downstairs. I'll stay... in the room next to Cecil's!"
Henry narrowed his eyes slightly as he repeated her words. "You're staying in the room next to Cecil?"
Miranda was a little scared, looking very nervous.
"Miranda gets along well with Cecil. Although she's older than Cecil, Cecil acts like her brother. It's normal for them to want to spend time together." Rosa said.
Henry nodded. Miranda was already very afraid of him.
She definitely would've refused to live upstairs.
"I'll get Aunt Abbie to clean your room!"
"Okay." After getting his approval, Miranda ran away happily.
Rosa looked at him and smiled faintly. "Can you not be so mean to Miranda?"
The man's eyes lit up and his smile grew deeper as he wrapped his arms around her waist, leaning closer to her.
"Did you miss me? Hmm?"
Her body's natural reaction was to shrink backwards. "Stop it!"
She stopped his naughty hand and scolded.
The man smiled as he grabbed and kissed her hand. "I missed you, honey!"
His frank words made her cheeks turn pink in an instant.
"Stop... stop fooling around. Everyone is here!" Rosa scolded him.
Seeing her adorable reaction, a smirk appeared under his eyes.
Lifting her chin, he lowered his head and kissed her delicate red lips.
On the other hand, Miranda just happened to open the door to get some drinks.
But she didn't expect to encounter such a scene.
She quickly turned around and slammed the door shut with a 'bang'.
"Phew..."
Miranda's face was slightly red, and her breathing was a little rushed.
The scene of her falling on Cecil appeared in her mind.
If she had leaned forward a little more, would she have... kissed him?
"What's wrong?" Cecil pushed his wheelchair over and leaned towards her.
Miranda instantly came back to her senses and looked at him.
The room was illuminated with yellowish light.
Under the lights, he seemed as if he was covered with a layer of gold.
She was inexplicably drawn to him, especially his lips.
"Miranda..."
Cecil frowned and called again.
"You can't!" Miranda suddenly yelled.
Cecil was stunned and then chuckled. "I can't what?"
The corner of Miranda's mouth twitched and her eyes dashed across the room. Her hands trembled as she said, "Uh... I said... you... can't stay up too late. There's... school tomorrow!"
Cecil smiled and nodded. Then he asked the young master, "Aren't you going back tonight?"
"No, my mom agreed to let me stay." The young master called his family in the afternoon and had gotten approval.
In fact, he didn't want to call them.
But Miranda insisted on him calling them. She even said that they wouldn't let him stay.
"Haha." He wanted to prove her wrong.
"It's late already. It's half-past eight. You should go back to your room and rest!" Miranda urged.
The young master frowned. "Then why aren't you leaving?"
"I... I'm an adult. I... It's more relaxing in university!"
"I'm studying in a nobility elementary school. It's also relaxing!" The young master raised his eyebrows. "Plus, I'm a straight-A student!"
His words made Miranda's blood boil. "Anyway, you should hurry up and leave. What are you still doing here?"
The young master was upset now. He liked Cecil the most.
Moreover, Cecil was particularly patient with him and was never annoyed at him.
This made him, who was an only child, grew dependent on him.
"I'm not leaving. I'm staying with my master!" He stuck out his tongue and rolled his eyes.
"He doesn't belong to you alone. What right do you have to keep him all to yourself?" Miranda was very upset.
"He's not mine, but he's not yours either!"
"Who said he's not mine!" Miranda couldn't control herself and immediately retorted.
Cecil and Miranda were rendered speechless.
The young master frowned in confusion. "Why is he yours? There's no label on my master saying he's yours!"
Miranda blushed all of a sudden. She stammered as she said, "Enough. Stop fooling around. Hurry up and go to sleep. You have school tomorrow."
"I'm sleeping here!" The young master said as he lay down on the bed.
The bed was so big, and he was so small.
He wouldn't take up too much space.
Miranda frowned and stepped forward. She grabbed his hand and pulled him up. "Get up!"
