When Rosa was sleeping soundly in the morning, Henry received a call.
"Okay, I got it!"
After hanging up the phone, Henry did not look happy.
His whole person was shrouded in a layer of gloom.
He got up, washed his face and went back to the bed to give her a kiss before going downstairs.
Aunt Abbie had already bought a lot of ingredients. Cecil also got up early in the morning and bathed in the sun in the garden.
"Sir, why are you up so early?" Aunt Abbie was taken aback. "I'll prepare breakfast for you."
"No need, I have something to do. The chef will come over later. Bring him over the details and prepare a room for him."
"Sir, you... you want the chef to stay here?" Aunt Abbie was a little surprised.
She didn't need to think to know that he was hiring a chef with more than seven Michelin Stars.
If that chef stays here for a while... how much would that cost?
"It's convenient for him to work. Later on, Cecil and Rosa can eat what they want whenever they want." Henry said as he put on his coat.
Aunt Abbie was very touched. "Sir, you are so nice to your wife and her younger brother."
Henry smiled elegantly and said, "They are my family!"
Aunt Abbie nodded and said, "Yes. Don't worry, sir. I will take good care of them!"
"Great!" Henry nodded and walked out.
Cecil was reading in the garden with a cup of hot coffee on the table.
"Cecil, it's cold outside. Don't stay outside for too long!" Seeing this, Henry instructed.
Cecil smiled and said, "Okay, brother-in-law."
"Yes, your nurse will arrive in a while. He will take you to the hospital to get a checkup. Call me if anything happens."
Cecil was a little surprised. He didn't expect that he had arranged all these things.
"Okay!"
Without any further delay, he got in the car and left.
By the time Rosa woke up, it was already nine o'clock.
She looked around but could not find Henry.
Eh...
"Where was he?" She wondered.
She got out of bed, washed up and went downstairs.
Aunt Abbie had already prepared breakfast and Cecil had already finished his work.
A man in his fifties appeared in the kitchen. He was dressed in white and wore a chef's hat.
"Mr. Luke, here, this is Madam." Aunt Abbie said hurriedly.
"Hello, Mrs. Lewis. I'm Luke." The middle-aged man smiled.
Rosa hurriedly said, "Hello, Luke."
Luke was stunned. He didn't expect this madam to be so polite. He immediately felt embarrassed and said, "Um... Madam, if there's anything you like or want to eat you can let me know. I can cook anything!"
Rosa was a little embarrassed. "I'm not picky."
"Okay, I'll see what I can do. Don't worry, I'll adjust it according to your taste," Luke said hurriedly.
"Thank you."
Luke chuckled and immediately went into the kitchen.
"Madam, hurry and eat your breakfast. I was afraid of disturbing you in your sleep, otherwise, I would've sent your breakfast upstairs." Aunt Abbie said as she handed her some porridge.
Rosa nodded. Indeed, she was hungry.
However, Rosa did not eat much. One bowl of porridge and one egg were enough.
Every time, the amount of food she ate made Aunt Abbie very anxious. She ate too little.
"Aunt Abbie, where is Henry?"
"Sir went out early in the morning and he didn't say what he was going to do. But it seems like he has something to do!" Aunt Abbie said.
Rosa nodded and planned to go to visit Cecil in his room.
"Madam, Cecil has gone to the hospital," Aunt Abbie said in a hurry.
Rosa was stunned. She turned around in shock and asked, "Cecil went to the hospital?"
"Don't worry, Madam. It was Henry who called the doctor over to pick Cecil up. He said it was for his regular checkup. I think Cecil addressed him as his nurse." Aunt Abbie explained.
"But his checkup should be tomorrow!"
"It seems like Cecil's appointed doctor had something to do tomorrow, so Cecil went a day earlier"
Rosa nodded, indicating that she understood.
"Madam, I'm going to work now," said Aunt Abbie as she began to clean up.
She was alone in the empty house.
Rosa was really not used to it.
She was going to look for a book in Cecil's room.
But before she could enter, the doorbell rang.
Rosa was stunned. "Who is it?"
Aunt Abbie quickly ran over to open the door. Since this person could pass through the security guards, she must be someone familiar.
When the door opened, Rosa was stunned.
Standing at the door was Asher, a recognisable yet unfamiliar person.
"Mrs. Lewis," Aunt Abbie called out.
"Yes, go ahead. I have something to tell Rosa!"
Aunt Abbie glanced at her and chuckled as she said, "Okay. Please have a seat. I will make some tea."
Seeing her walking toward her step by step, Rosa felt a little restrained and uneasy.
