Chapter 128
Angela had grown numb to it all after a few days. Every day, she followed the same routine, which was eating, taking her medication, and going for a stroll to aid her recovery.
The meal that day was a light one, with the main dish being oatmeal with peanut butter and walnuts. It was refreshing and delicious.
Angela ate silently while Dexter quietly watched.
“I’ll be bringing you back in two days. Grandma misses you.” Dexter unexpectedly spoke
Over the past few days, their conversations had been minimal, mostly him speaking and her listening.
“We should head back as soon as possible,” Angela replied in a hoarse voice, her words
succinct.
“That
“I did tell you I would handle things appropriately…” Dexter continued after a pause, is why I didn’t hand Trevor over to Grandpa and Grandma. I will wait for you to decide how to handle him.”
Angela froze mid–action. She glanced at him, somewhat surprised.
“Don’t allow him to appear before them. Grandma and Madam Fiona wouldn’t be able to handle it. Let Mr. Bamford deal with him,” Angela said.
After considering it for a long time, she still couldn’t come up with a better solution.
Trevor, however, was undoubtedly a ticking time bomb for the Bamford family–one that could explode at any moment. It was best to send him as far away as possible.
“It’s too late.” Dexter sighed faintly. “Mom already knows, and Grandma has caught wind of it, too.”
Angela was visibly shocked. At that moment, her phone rang.

It was Fiona.
“Angela, are you alright? How’s your health? Everyone’s saying you died–that news has spread everywhere! You scared us to death!” Fiona’s anxious voice betrayed her deep
concern.
“I’m fine. We’ll be back in a couple of days.” Angela then asked, “How’s Grandma?”
“So, you only care about her now? She’s been crying her eyes out every day because of you

She’s close to becoming depressed at this point!
“You could’ve at least sent us a message to let us know you were okay, but I don’t blame you–it’s Dexter’s fault for not having enough sense to inform us,” Fiona chided.
Dexter could only take the blame silently with an unbothered expression, even though he was unjustly blamed.
After hanging up, Angela called Natalie. The moment Natalie heard her voice, the former broke into tears of joy.
Feeling deeply remorseful, Angela went out that night to buy gemstone necklaces for both Natalie and Fiona, intending to make amends with the gifts.
Two days later, Angela and Dexter returned to the country.
As soon as they got off the plane, Angela received a video message from Finn.
Well, what a surprise. She never expected something like this to happen, but seeing it happen was shocking.
“Take me to the Graham residence,” she said.
