Love and Devotion No Longer His to Claim (Angela and Dexter) novel Chapter 183

"When did I fire you?" Bill asked impatiently.

"What? So it's not true? Then why did Angela say that to me? Mr. Graham, everyone knows you're fair and unbiased, even against your own daughter. How will you punish Angela for falsely accusing you and bullying me today?"

Bill was rendered speechless. Punishing Angela was out of the question, given that he depended on her supply of medicine for his survival. Nora needed to stop spewing such nonsense.

Nora looked at Angela complacently, as if she were certain that the latter would be punished. After all, she was Bill's most competent assistant.

"Ms. Rutherford, why do you seem to dislike me so much? Why are you so eager for me to leave the company? I just don't get it." Angela smiled coolly, her eyes showing disdain.

"Mr. Graham, what do you think?" Angela asked nonchalantly. She didn't care at all. After all, she thought she had nothing to fear.

Nora seemed thrilled, confident that things would go as she expected.

At that moment, Bill smiled softly and said, "You're my daughter. I'd never let you suffer."

Nora's expression transformed immediately upon hearing his words. She was so taken aback that she momentarily lost her composure. "Mr. Graham, what do you mean by that? You shouldn't—"

"As for you, you're fired. Please go to HR to process your resignation. We'll provide you with the compensation you deserve." Bill's tone was authoritative and final.

Nora's eyes widened in disbelief, and her face turned pale.

"What… what did you say, Mr. Graham?" She was in shock and stared at Bill in disbelief, unable to string her words together.
