Love and Devotion No Longer His to Claim (Angela and Dexter) novel Chapter 286

Rosanne bowed deeply. "I never expected you to stand up for me like this, or even let me take justice into my own hands and allow me to hit—"

Just as she was speaking, Joanne abruptly coughed.

Rosanne stopped mid-sentence. After a few seconds, she spoke again. "I don't have any other requests. All I hope is that I can come back to work. I need a job to support my child."

"Alright," Angela agreed without hesitation. "What else?"

She kept giving Rosanne a look, urging her to ask for money. This scumbag had hurt Rosanne so much—shouldn't she demand compensation?

Rosanne looked at Angela in confusion, still not catching on.

Angela had no choice but to spell it out. "Money is important. After all that you've been through, you should definitely ask for compensation."

At this point, she couldn't be any clearer.

Rosanne finally snapped to her senses and quickly said, "Yes, exactly! He has to compensate me for emotional distress! I should get at least two million dollars!"

Angela smirked in satisfaction. Now that was more like it.

Logan's eyes widened in shock. "Two million? You might as well just ask for my head!"

"You useless piece of trash! In the past few months, I've given you no less than 100 thousand! You keep pretending to be broke, but your annual salary is at least 300 thousand!" Rosanne shouted, eager to expose all of Logan's dirty secrets.

The fuming Logan shot her a glare but forced himself to suppress it. "The most I can give is 500 thousand—not a penny more!"

"Fine! Then I'll sue you and ruin your reputation!" Rosanne gritted her teeth, her hatred for him now absolute.

"Logan, do you still want to work at Graham Group or not?" Angela asked with a half-smile, a hint of mockery flashing in her eyes.
