Chapter 43
Angela looked around but didn’t spot Dexter anywhere.
“I’m here for a divorce,” she said with a grin.
The woman was shocked. She had never seen someone so carefree about a divorce, let alone dressed up in such a flamboyant way.
Dexter arrived half an hour late. Angela only stood up when she saw him. Luckily, he had already arranged for their private service that morning.
His expression wasn’t a happy one, and seeing her dressed so brightly only fueled his
anger.
“Angela, are you already looking for your next man before the divorce is even finalized?” He sneered coldly. His words were sharp like knives.
“Yes,” Angela replied with a laugh. “After all, I can’t live without men.‘
Dexter fumed.
The divorce process took quite some time, with staff members repeatedly asking if they were really sure about it. After all, the two of them looked like a movie star couple.
Angela patiently explained again and again.
When the process was finally over, she felt an immense sense of relief.
She planned to head back to Stellar Estate, the neighborhood where the villa she had just redeemed was located, to rest for the day and unwind.
On Monday, she would start her new job at DawnStar Co.
“Where are you going? I’ll have someone drive you,” Dexter’s voice came from behind he
ask Winsto Without thinking, Angela replied, “No need. Oh, by the way, can you to drive the two cars to Stellar Estate? Thanks.”
Since Dexter had offered, why not accept it? She didn’t want to spend money on cars herself. The sense of freedom was exhilarating
As Dexter watched her leave, his dark eyes grew even more somber.
“Do as she says,” he ordered coldly.
By the time Angela arrived at Stellar Estate by cab, Winston was already there. The two luxury cars gleamed under the sunlight, clearly brand new.
Angela raised an eyebrow. The Bentley she had been promised had been swapped for a Porsche, and not just any Porsche, but one in pink.

“Ms. Graham, these are from Mr. Bamford. They’ve already been transferred to your name. “Winston seemed hesitant. “If you need anything, you can always tell me.”
“What?” Angela was surprised. Back at Bamford Estate, Winston had never spoken to her so humbly.
“Just go inside and see for yourself,” Winston replied with an awkward smile.
Frowning, Angela walked inside.
“Put that cabinet inside. Be extra careful not to damage it. Handle that vase gently! It’s worth hundreds of thousands. If it breaks, you’ll owe us three times the compensation…” As soon as Angela walked in, she heard a familiar female voice coming from the living
room.
It was Judy Miller, her stepmother.
