“Oh, so this is the legendary Mrs. Bamford. It’s a pleasure to meet you,” the man said enthusiastically, extending his hand to Angela.
Dexter gave him a pointed look. “Go heat your food,” he said flatly.
The man immediately looked embarrassed and turned to put his meal in the microwave.
Angela kept quiet and maintained her smile. However, deep down, she was displeased with Dexter introducing her as his wife in public.
Just as she was about to leave after lunch, he insisted on taking her to the nearby mall to go shopping.
“What are you doing?” Angela tried to pull away, but he wouldn’t let go.
Before she knew it, he’d already dragged her into the elevator, heading straight for the women’s section on the third floor.
They’d been married for over three years, yet she’d never had the privilege of Dexter personally taking her out to buy clothes.
Her wardrobe had always been chosen by a stylist according to Dexter’s preferences. Of course, the expensive custom–made gowns weren’t hers either.
“Quit complaining. Let’s walk off the meal, and then I’ll take you back,” Dexter said enthusiastically. He placed a hand on her shoulder to stop her from escaping.
Angela took a deep breath, pushing down the doubt and frustration she felt.
“Pick whatever you like,” he said, casually flopping onto a nearby couch and waving his hand dismissively.
“I already have clothes. I don’t need more,” Angela replied. Her patience was wearing thin, and she didn’t want him buying her clothes.
“You brought me lunch, so I’ll buy you clothes. We’re even,” Dexter said. “Hurry up. Don’t waste time.”
Angela gave him an incredulous look and scoffed. “Sorry, but it’s you who’s wasting my time. I’m not in the mood for you to buy me clothes. Goodbye.“`
She drove herself to DawnStar Co. By the time she arrived, it was already 1:50 pm. just a few minutes away from being late.

As soon as she sat down, a delivery man suddenly shouted from outside the door. “Is Ms. Graham here?”

and they all looked over.
Angela stood up, feeling slightly confused. “That’s me. What’s going on?”
At the door stood a delivery man in a blue vest. He carried several high–end garment bags in each hand, looking rather tired.
“These clothes were sent by your husband, Mr. Bamford,” the delivery man said with a smile, placing the bags on Angela’s desk.
He then handed her a receipt for her signature.
Angela glanced at the clothes in front of her, feeling a little speechless.
“Angela, what’s going on? Your husband is so romantic! It’s not even a special occasion, and he bought you all these high–end designer pieces?” Clara asked, walking over with a curious expression. “Can I see what they look like?”
Alan also came closer, trying to sneak a peek. “I’d like to see too. I’ve never been this close to so many high–end designer pieces. Ms. Graham, let us take a look!”
“Yeah, come on, show us!” George added, feeling equally intrigued.
The group stared at Angela expectantly.
