Simon unexpectedly stepped off the stage and began walking toward Elena. 

She felt an inexplicable sense of nervousness and silently scolded herself for it. Wasn’t this supposed to be a solemn moment? 

“Ms. Graham, congratulations.” The unfamiliar words rang in her ears like an explosion. 

Elena immediately froze in place. She was already halfway out of her seat, preparing to shake Simon’s hand! 

Everybody was stunned, casting unbelievable glances toward Angela sitting beside Erica. 

How could this be possible? She was only an obscure and unremarkable designer! 

What had she done to deserve such honor? 

Angela herself was equally surprised. She had assumed the top scorer would be Elena. 

She had even been preparing to seek advice on where she had fallen short so she could improve in the future moments ago. 

“Ms. Graham?” Simon smiled warmly. Angela quickly got to her feet and followed him to the stage. 

The distance was short, but she felt like an eternity. 

All eyes were on her. She hadn’t felt such attention in years. 

However, it wasn’t so bad. 

This was just the beginning. She told herself she needed to adapt to such occasions and face everything with unwavering calm and composure. 

“Wow, Angela is incredible!” 

“Exactly! Who would’ve thought?” 

“I’m speechless. Always trust in Angela!”

Alan and Clara were whispering excitedly with their faces glowing with pride. 

However, Angela felt displeased the next moment because the trophy was still in Dexter’s hands. 

It was a beautifully crafted crystal trophy with a star etched into it. 

Rumor had it that Simon carved the star himself.

Dexter’s expression was complicated, though he hid it well. 

He took two steps forward and prepared to hand the trophy to her when a discordant voice broke through the air. 

“What makes her deserving of first place? Was her work that outstanding?” It was Nora.

Her tone wasn’t harsh. She seemed to have only conveyed genuine curiosity. 

The crowd chimed in agreement. 

Dexter’s gaze turned slightly sharp. 

“Everyone, please take a look.” Simon motioned to his assistant who unveiled a detailed scoring chart. 

The chart meticulously recorded every participant’s performance throughout the week, covering everything from class participation and attendance to the number of ques ons answered. 

Everyone’s performance was about the same at the beginning. However, Angela remained as focused as ever in the last three days. She paid attention in classes, took meticulous notes, and dedicated herself wholeheartedly to studying. As a result, her scores ultimately surpassed everyone else’s by a wide margin. 

Her design work was the clincher.
