Love at the Wrong Table (Emmanuel Lowe and Mackenzie) novel Chapter 1135

Chapter 1135 Would You Get Jealous?

But Mackenzie appeared to be in a trance, completely oblivious to her surroundings. She walked towards the Maserati parked at the entrance without acknowledging the calls from behind.

Inside the car, Emmanuel had been seeking relationship advice from Rhea when he noticed Mackenzie approaching. He quickly put away his phone.

“Mackenzie, is everything alright? You seem off,” Emmanuel asked with concern, sensing that something was wrong with his wife.

“It’s nothing,” Mackenzie replied coldly.

Emmanuel was taken aback by Mackenzie’s unusually distant behavior. He wondered what had happened earlier at the hotel.

“Alright then. Shall we head home?” Emmanuel suggested.

Mackenzie couldn’t contain her frustration any longer and exclaimed, “Emmanuel, why are you so trusting? Aren’t you afraid that another man might take advantage of me?”

Emmanuel was at a loss for words. He couldn’t believe Mackenzie, the usually composed and distant woman, was expressing such insecurities.

“Are you not even a little bit jealous when I meet another man in a hotel?” Mackenzie questioned coldly. She even doubted if Emmanuel was a normal husband who truly loved his wife. After all, what husband would be so relaxed about his wife meeting another man alone?

Before Mackenzie could continue her questioning, a large hand suddenly reached for the back of her head. She was momentarily stunned, unable to finish her sentence. The next moment, Emmanuel firmly supported the back of her head, leaned in, and kissed her soft crimson lips.

Mackenzie was dumbfounded, her icy eyes widening with incredulity.

Emmanuel didn’t close his eyes either, as he was also nervous.

This was the solution Rhea had suggested. When the relationship between husband and wife is not harmonious, the husband should be a bit assertive and kiss his wife forcefully.

Rhea had picked up this advice from relationship guides, which mentioned that everything between a couple could be solved with intimacy. However, considering their status and relationship, she modified it to a forceful kiss.

Sure enough, the move worked wonders, and Mackenzie quieted down for the time being.

Outside the car, the receptionist chased after Mackenzie, picking up the items she had dropped and intending to return them. However, upon witnessing the scene in the car, she was instantly shocked.

Oh my! The famously aloof female CEO of Yeringham was kissing a man in the car! What a spectacle!

“What are you looking at?!” The general manager, who had come to escort Mackenzie away, finally arrived and quickly pulled the indiscreet receptionist aside.

Could ordinary people like them peek at the intimate moments of Mackenzie and her husband in the car?! How audacious!

“You scoundrel!” After a moment of astonishment, Mackenzie pushed Emmanuel away and continued to scold, “Do you know you have many rivals? Do you know that many men desire me and could take advantage of me at any time-”

Whoosh!

Emmanuel, being unreasonable once again, pulled Mackenzie close to him and initiated another forceful kiss. This time, he closed his eyes.
