Parisa's eyes narrowed as she spoke sharply, "Erik just got word there's trouble again at Inko Group. The shareholders are bickering! Since I'm back in Emperor City, I've got to personally handle it. I'll head back to the apartment once everything's sorted."

"You're going to the office now?"

Florence felt a sinking feeling. She had promised Bryce to take Parisa straight to the apartment and keep her under control.

Parisa couldn’t be allowed to roam freely, especially since they still didn’t know what happened in San Francisco.

Florence gripped the cab's door handle, preventing it from leaving.

Parisa noticed and softened her tone, "Florence, why don’t you come with me? Let's head to the company together."

If Florence accompanied her to Inko Group, at least she wouldn't have to worry about Parisa pulling any stunts.

Caught off guard, Florence hesitated but then agreed. As long as she managed to get Parisa back to the apartment and locked in for the night, her task would be complete.

She climbed into the cab.

As Parisa closed the door, she gave Erik a meaningful look. Erik understood her signal.

When the cab exited the highway, Erik spotted an intersection and suddenly pointed, "Stop here for a moment! Florence, I noticed Ms. Tennyson isn't looking well. There's a pharmacy here with the imported meds she might need. Could you grab a bottle for her?

I'm worried that once we get to Inko Group, dealing with those cunning board members will be tough, and I don’t want Ms. Tennyson to fall ill."

Florence hesitated, instinctively frowning.

Parisa clutched her chest, breathing heavily, "Florence, better safe than sorry. Please get me the meds. Erik, you should also step out and grab a bottle of water for me."

Seeing that Erik would be accompanying her, Florence's suspicions eased.

Surely they weren't trying to trick her into leaving the car. Erik was there too.

She nodded, got out of the car, and headed to the pharmacy, phone in hand. She made sure to see Erik walking toward the supermarket entrance.
