Chapter 108
“Brandon, why aren’t you going to die?”
This sentence was like a curse, torturing Brandon badly. She hated him so much that she wanted him to die.
Brandon’s expression was cold and terrifying.
The veins on his forehead bulged.
In a time of grief, she said the most hurtful thing.
“Yes,” he admitted.
“The woman who pestered Jason was a hooker that I hired. Savanna, since you regret giving birth to Mandel, why do you try to take Mandel away from me?”
Brandon stared at Savanna, his eyes slowly turning red. “Even if you win, what do you have to raise him? Your unstable Thompson Group?”
Brandon looked down on her like this, and the words he said were like sharp blades, stabbing straight into the depths of Savanna’s heart.
She desperately swallowed the pain, and she stroked the wall to support her powerless body.
She glared at Brandon and straightened her back. “I know that you have always looked down on me, but I swear that I will take good care of the Thompson Group and let it regain its former glory.”
Brandon scoffed and repeated in amusement, “Its former glory?
“Has the Thompson Group been glorious?
“David sells his daughter for money in order to save the Thompson Group. Savanna, these words can be said at home but not outside. People who know the inside story will laugh.”
Brandon’s heartless words hurt Savanna’s heart.
Perhaps surprised by Brandon’s words, she looked at Brandon’s expression with pain. That pain gradually turned into confusion. Then, she laughed a few times, tears rolling out of her eyes and blurring her vision.
Brandon said that her father sold her and her mother for money. In Brandon’s heart, that was how he had always thought of her father.
However, Savanna knew that her father was not such a person.
Unable to suppress the pain in her heart, Savanna growled, “Don’t slander my father!”
Savanna gritted her teeth. “Brandon, you don’t have the right to say that to him!”
“My brother is right.”
Tracy’s voice came from outside, and then she appeared.
She swept her eyes over Savanna, and her gaze shifted to Brandon’s face. Tracy’s expression seemed to be infatuated, but it was fleeting, making it difficult to capture.
“Back then, when you married into the Cassel family, my mother gave 150 million dollars to David. If not for that money, the Thompson Group would have gone bankrupt. David took the money from the Cassel family to keep his lover. In the end, he squandered all the money, and the Thompson Group still collapsed.”
150 million dollars?
This number caused Savanna to widen her eyes in shock.
It took Savanna a long time to regain her consciousness. Her tone changed when she roared at Tracy, “My dad is not that kind of person. I don’t believe it. You are lying! Brandon, you’d better take good care of your sister! We are divorced now. If she slanders my dad again, I will find a lawyer to sue her!”
Brandon didn’t expect that Tracy would come in, much less that she would say that.
Brandon didn’t want to hurt Savanna.
He scratched his hair in frustration and shouted at Tracy, “Get out!”
However, Tracy didn’t listen to him. She glanced at him and continued, “My mother doted on you and spoiled you, Savanna. Don’t think that you are a great contributor just because you have a child with my brother. The women who want to have a child with my brother can line up and encircle New York City.”
“Shut up. If you say another word, I will beat you up!” Brandon didn’t allow Tracy to say another word.
When Tracy saw that Brandon was angry at her, she immediately cried, “You always scold me. Look at how you’ve spoiled her. She’s about to ruin our family. What I said was the truth. 150 million dollars is earned with difficulty by our family. This woman, she’s not worth it at all!”
The sound of a slap was heard.
Tracy had a fresh mark on her face.
