Chapter 20
Savanna’s voice was so loud that it was almost roaring.
“Whatever.”
The man threw her two words and said in a cold voice, “But I don’t know how long your father can last.”
Then Brandon strode away.
Staring at the man’s back, Savanna bit her teeth, her lips were bloodless.
As a woman of both toughness and gentleness, now that she had decided not to have anything to do with Brandon. She would never go back to the Rose Villas.
Savanna knew she couldn’t afford to offend him, but she didn’t want to give in.
After returning to the Thompson Group, she began to call the lawyer, Elijah Wilson, again. Mr. Wilson came to her and said that he could help her with her father’s case. Savanna was overjoyed and soon made an appointment with him.
After they met and talked, they quickly reached an agreement. After knowing about the case, Elijah’s confidence in winning completely makes Savanna relieved.
In the court, Elijah won the first battle after a verbal battle with the prosecutor.
After the trial, she went to visit David. Savanna asked him to hold on for a few days and said she believed that she could bail him out after the next trial.
The second trial came soon.
Sitting outside the court, Savanna’s waiting for Elijah to show up. Seeing that David Thompson was getting more and more flustered, she couldn’t keep calm anymore and begged the judge to wait for another fifteen minutes. However, fifteen minutes later, Elijah still didn’t show up.
David was taken away.
Savanna called Elijah dozens of times. When she finally got through, Elijah told her that he was in the police station. He said that he drank too much last night and someone brought him to a girl’s bed. The girl accused him of rape.
She knew that what happened to Elijah was not a coincidence, but a deliberate conspiracy.
Elijah’s event soon spread throughout the legal community, and it was even more difficult for Savanna to hire a lawyer to defend David. That night, David’s sicker. As soon as she heard the news, she rushed to the detention center.

Standing under the eaves of the jail, she felt even colder than the snowflakes falling from the sky. Then she called Brandon, “Hello.”
Late at night, the voice of Brandon was deep and hoarse.
“Brandon.”
The man’s name came out from her bloodless lips. Savanna stared at the snowflakes flying in the sky, floating
Brandon kept silent.
It seemed that he had been waiting for this call for a long time.
Savanna bit her lips hard, and her lips immediately turned red. Ignoring the pain in her heart, she said with difficulty, “Do you still remember that you asked me to go back to the Rose Villas? Is it still count?”
“My words always count.”
The man seemed to be lighting up a cigarette. His casual words made her close her eyes hard.
“Okay, I’ll be right back.”
“I’ll ask Leo to pick you up. Where are you?” Brandon asked.
“No need, but thanks.”
Savanna laughed, but her smile didn’t reach her eyes. It was desolate and sad.
She wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes and quickly calmed herself down. She drove back to the Rose Villas. She had lived in this villa for two years. The lights in the corridor of the villa were dim. Savanna walked on the soft carpet with heavy steps, without making any sound, which made her feel like a ghost at the moment.
Savanna was about to go upstairs, but she changed her mind when she saw Leo at the door of the study
Usually, where there was Leo, then Brandon would definitely in nearby.
