Chapter 312
The smile on Mia‘s face froze. “Who are you? What right do you have to say that? What proof do you have?”
Savanna said, “Since I dared to come to you, I naturally have evidence.”
Savanna clicked her phone and played a video. She then held it in front of Mia.
Mia stared at the video. In a dimly lit room, a blurry shadow crept in. The moonlight from the window fell on her face, lighting it up. She reached for the medicine bottle in the compartment of a desk near the windowsill, pulled out the bottle cap, and poured out the medicine in the bottle. After that, she took some pills of about the same size and filled the bottle up.
Looking at the video, Mia narrowed her eyes slightly, a dangerous glint flashing in them. “What do you want?”
The smile on Savanna‘s face was gentle, but behind this gentleness was viciousness.
She said, “Mia, you destroyed the surveillance camera. I found a skillful hacker to repair this video. If i hand it over to the police, the police might re–evaluate whether what you just said is true or not.”
Mia bit her lower lip and remained silent.
Seeing that the time was right, Savanna got straight to the point. “Who ordered you to do it?”
Mia bit her lips until they bled. She pressed the tip of her tongue against her cheeks and chuckled. “You want to sue the person who instigated me?”
“Of course.” Savanna frowned.
Mia said, “Savanna, have you seen the trending topic about stories of the only daughter of the Thompson family two days ago?”
Savanna furrowed her eyebrows. “You made it?”
Mia chuckled again and admitted it generously. “Yes, it was me.”
Savanna‘s breathing was unstable as she angrily asked, “Why? How did I offend you? Why do you slander me like this?”
Mia‘s voice was soft like a ghost. “You did not offend me, but in this life, I hate you to death. Why can you live a carefree life? Why should I bear everything for you?”
Savanna did not want to meet Mia‘s aggressive gaze. She turned her face away. “I don‘t understand what you are saying.”
Mia said, “It doesn‘t matter if you don‘t understand. Let me tell you something. Every word I said in that post is true. The only daughter of the Thompson family is you. Your mother is a promiscuous bitch. You are the same. You are all bitches. You deserve to not get happiness.”
“Bang.” Savanna slapped Mia in the face,
Mia‘s face tilted heavily. The burning pain on her face made her jump off the bed. She reached out to grab Savanna‘s hair, but Savanna dodged swiftly.
Savanna quickly pressed Mia to the bed and clutched Mia‘s neck. She asked with anger, “How dare you slander me and my mother? Mia, the Young family can sue you for attempted murder based on what you did to Lorena. Go find a lawyer and ask how many years you will have to spend in jail?”
Mia suddenly laughed out loud. Because she laughed too hard, her neck and body trembled. In the end, tears came out, but she still did not stop laughing.
“Savanna, you can let me go to jail. In that case, your biological mother will have no one to support her anymore. Do you know how much her medical expenses are now?”
Savanna furrowed her eyebrows. “I don‘t understand what you are saying.”
Mia stopped laughing and said seriously, “Do you know why I posted that on the Internet and pulled some strings to make it a trending topic? Because I also hate you. Lorena is clearly our enemy, but you still look forward to taking care of her for the rest of her life. His grandson has betrayed you time and time again, but you wanted to marry him. Savanna, are you that cheap? Are you crazy about men?”
Savanna left, and Mia flipped the fruits and flowers Savanna had brought over to the floor.
Returning to the Moon Villas, Savanna was restless. She asked Neil to investigate Linda and Colten.
Soon, Neil replied, and Neil‘s reply was exactly the same as what Mia had said.
Savanna finally understood Lorena would not accept her as her great–granddaughter–in–law. She also understood why Lorena had always been against her and even ordered Tracy to force her to drink poison.
She finally understood why Brandon had compromised with Lorena time and time again. It was not because he cared about his family relationship with Lorena, but because Brandon did not want to stand against Savanna.
It could also be said that Brandon wanted to protect Savanna. He did not want to involve Savanna in the grudge between the elders.
It turned out that Brandon had considered a lot for her.
In the evening, Brandon came back from work and saw Savanna sitting on the sofa in a daze. He took off his coat and hung it on the hanger. He walked towards Savanna and sat beside her. He pulled her into his arms and asked softly, “What‘s wrong?”
“Nothing. I‘m fine.” Savanna‘s voice was hoarse. It was obvious that she had cried.
Brandon‘s heart tightened. He held her chin and gently lifted it. As far as his eyes could see, there were pearl–like tears on Savanna‘s face.
Brandon asked anxiously, “What happened?”
Savanna felt sorry for Brandon. She raised her hand and hugged Brandon so tight that Brandon almost could not breathe.
