Chapter 494
“Savanna, tell me what happened to your friend?”
Brandon walked over and sat on the sofa next to Savanna. He turned sideways to face her and stared at Savanna’s face with a pair of black eyes.
“Her husband got a huge inheritance right by chance, but the prerequisite was that he had to divorce her and marry another woman.”
Savanna put the things that happened to her on this imaginary friend.
She wanted to use this method to find out the true thoughts in Brandon’s heart.
Hearing this, Brandon frowned.
Enter title…
Then he quickly and objectively said, “It depends on what your friend’s husband thinks, as well as the situation of their marriage. Everyone’s situation is different and cannot be generalized.”
Savanna nodded and said calmly, “I roughly know their situation.”
“Then tell me.”
“My friend fell in love with her husband at first sight, but her husband already had a lover before her. For various reasons, the two of them finally married.”
When Savanna said these words, it was as if she were reminiscing about the first half of her life.
Savanna thought, it was a short, ridiculous, and cold life.
“Does he love your friend?”
In front of most men’s careers, love only took up a small part. As a man,
Brandon knew this truth.
“I think so. He might have loved her for a short time.”
Savanna thought, in our long-married life, Brandon might have loved me for a short period.
But most time, he suspected and neglected me, and treated me as a prisoner.
“If that’s the case, in the face of benefits that are within reach, your friend is likely to be abandoned.”
Brandon analyzed the result from a man’s point of view.
“Why?” Savanna looked up at him, her beautiful starry eyes filled with disappointment. “Why would he give up his wife, who has been by his side all day and night just because of money?”
Brandon saw Savanna was getting agitated, so he quickly comforted her,
“Savanna, don’t get agitated. This is only my reasonable speculation. Many times, human nature is like this.”
Instead of being comforted, Savanna became more and more agitated. She stared at Brandon and asked, “What about you? If it were you, what would you choose? Would you also choose to divorce me for the huge fortune?”
“Of course not.”
Brandon answered firmly, without any hesitation.
“Are you sure?”
Savanna confirmed with him again.
She was afraid of the bad side of human nature and more afraid of the tricks of fate.
After going through so much, she really did not want to be separated from Brandon.
“I am very sure.” Brandon nodded affirmatively. “If I want money, I can earn it. But you, Savanna, are the only one in the world, so I can’t lose you.”
After he finished speaking, he held Savanna tightly in his arms.
In the quiet study, Savanna leaned against his chest and murmured unconsciously,
“Brandon, I believe you once again. You must keep your word.”
Even though the voice was very low, Brandon still heard it.
He had always felt that something was wrong with Savanna. Now, he was even more sure that someone must have said something to her.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t have been so abnormal and made up a story about her friend.
