Chapter 510 Ms. Thompson, Please
Savanna was sitting in a daze. When she heard the voice, she looked up in surprise.
She saw a tall and thin man in black standing in front of her. The man was wearing a black trench coat, and his sunglasses were stuck on the collar of his T–shirt.
His eyes were long and narrow, and his lips were thin. It was uncomfortable to be stared at by him.
“Are you talking to me?” Savanna pointed at herself with a look of disbelief.
The man nodded and smiled. His smile was not friendly but rather treacherous.
“We probably don’t know each other.” Savanna felt uncomfortable around him, so she was unwilling to talk to him.
However, the man refused to give up. “You don’t know me, but I know you, Ms. Savanna Thompson.”
Hearing the man call out her name, Savanna widened her eyes, unable to hide the surprise in her eyes.
“How do you know me?”
“I am a friend of your husband. I saw you on his Instagram. Where is Mr. Cassel? Isn’t he with you?”
The tall man pretended to look for Brandon as if he had really been a friend of Brandon.
Savanna didn’t know much about his husband’s friends. She didn’t know if Daryl was really
Brandon’s friend or if he was sweetening her up to cooperate with Brandon.
“I almost forgot to introduce myself. My name is Daryl Orwell.”
“Your surname is also Orwell?” Savanna immediately became alert.
Daryl smiled brightly, but it actually looked sinister.
“It seems you know me. Mr. Cassel mentioned me to you, right?”
Brandon and Daryl had just met for the first time today, so it was naturally impossible for Brandon to mention Daryl to his wife.
Daryl said that to drop Savanna’s guard, making her feel that he and Brandon were acquaintances.
“Brandon has never mentioned you to me, but your surname reminds me of someone,” Savanna replied.
Of course, Daryl knew who she was thinking of. It was that sickly person.
“Where did Mr. Cassel go? Why did he leave a beauty like you here?” Daryl asked despite knowing the answer.
If not for Tye’s sudden disappearance, Brandon would have returned.
“He took our son to the bathroom. I am waiting for him here,” Savanna replied truthfully.
“I see. Why don’t I wait with you?” Daryl pointed to an ice–cream parlor not far away. “Ms. Thompson, may I have the honor to treat you to something?”
Daryl gave her an uncomfortable feeling, so Savanna did not want to accept his invitation.
Wouldn’t it be even more uncomfortable to eat with someone who was uncomfortable to be around?
Savanna thought for a moment and then shook her head. “I told them I would wait here. When they come back and don’t see me, they will be anxious.”
“How could that be?” Daryl pointed to the ice–cream parlor over there. “Its glass is transparent. We can see them as soon as they return. There won’t be such a problem.”
As he spoke, he even reached out to pull Savanna’s arm.
“What are you doing?” Savanna’s face immediately turned pale. She quickly put her arm behind her back and looked at the man in front of her with vigilance. “If you continue to be like this, I will call the police.”
“Ms. Thompson, I am sorry to have offended you,” Daryl said with a sinister smile.
That was what he said, but to Savanna, it sounded like he was saying, “Damned woman, you will be constrained to do what you at first refused.”
Savanna felt even more terrified. She took out her phone and dialed her husband’s number.
