Chapter 518 She Is Spoken For
“Savanna asked me to come out to see if you guys are fighting or not.”
Seeing that he was noticed, Rex greeted the nurse and then walked over generously.
He behaved naturally as if he had been standing by the wall and taking a nap and had not heard anything.
“When did you come out?” Brandon went straight to the point.
They were all brothers, and Rex did not hide anything. “I heard everything, but as long as you don’t do anything to hurt Savanna, I will keep this secret to myself forever.”
Everyone present was smart. Since he made such a promise, everyone understood.
Brandon patted Rex on the shoulder. “Thank you, bro. Thank you for keeping my secret.”
“Don’t be fooled by him.” Rex glanced at the sickly man sitting in the wheelchair, his eyes full of distrust.
“Don’t worry, I won’t,” Brandon replied.
Finn coughed timely and smiled bitterly, “You are a doctor. You should be able to see that my will soon come to an end. The time of a terminally ill patient is the most precious. I don’t have time to tease him.”
Every doctor was kind. Rex was not familiar with him, but he still advised, “You should lie on the bed to rest. Running around like this will make you die quickly.”
“Thank you. Unfortunately, I don’t have time.”
Finn still wanted to continue to talk about the matter but was interrupted by Rex.
“Brandon, Savanna has been waiting in the ward for a long time. If you don’t want her to worry, hurry back quickly.”
At the mention of Savanna, Brandon’s eyes turned cold, and he strode over to the ward.
Seeing his hurried back, Gerald asked helplessly, “Mr. Orwell, Mr. Cassel has left. What about us?”
“Let’s go back. I am also tired.” Finn was really tired and could not take it anymore. He closed his eyes and leaned against the wheelchair, letting his assistant push him away.
Since the two had left, it was boring for Rex to stay in place alone, so he returned to the ward too.
The door of the ward was ajar, and just as Rex walked to the door, he heard a voice coming from inside through the crack in the door.
“Brandon, what were you doing just now? Why did you go out for so long? Did you fight? Are you hurt?”
Savanna was worried and grabbed the man’s arm and looked up and down at him nervously.
Originally, Brandon was still angry because of what happened just now, but when he suddenly saw his wife’s cute actions, all the haze disappeared.
He reached out and wrapped his arms around the woman’s slender waist. He wrapped her in his arms and rested his head on Savanna’s thin shoulder. “Savanna, you asked so many questions in one go. Which should I answer first?”
Savanna was tightly hugged. The man’s body temperature surrounded her. Her worries completely disappeared, replaced by a sense of safety.
“You two didn’t fight, did you?”
Savanna asked the most important question.
“You should ask how badly I beat up that sickly man. Do you think your husband is weak enough to be beaten up by a sickly man?” Brandon raised his eyebrows and asked.
“You are in the mood to joke around, right? That means you haven’t fought. What exactly does Mr. Orwell want to do?” Savanna asked curiously.
Brandon didn’t intend to hide such an important matter from Savanna. Just as he was about to tell the truth, a sound came from the bed.
Tye, who had been quietly sleeping on a drip, suddenly retched. Savanna was shocked and hurriedly asked, “What’s wrong?”
The couple looked at each other, and Brandon ran even faster to the bed quickly.
He reached out his arms and scooped his son up from the bed. “Tye, what’s wrong?”
As he spoke, the child retched a few more times. Probably because he did not eat anything, he spat out some water like saliva.
Brandon held the child and patted his back to ease his breathing.
“Tye, if you want to vomit, just do it. Mom will call a doctor for you.” Savanna was anxious and immediately pressed the bell at the head of the bed.
