Chapter 328 Who Knew That Clarissa Would Be Married to Damien?
“Clarissa, I’m just being logical,” Damien said sternly.
“Whatever!”
Clarissa picked a few pictures of the scenery she took from the park just now. Among them. were photos of the lake, some crocodiles, and beautiful flowers. Before she posted the pictures. on Facebook, she wrote the caption ‘Winter has passed, and now it’s spring!’
Lily liked her post and commented.
Lily: [Clarissa, are you at Genovia Park? The scenery is beautiful!]
Ray: [Love the flowers!]
Clarissa: [Thank you.]
Ray: [Damien didn’t come to work today. Is he with you at the park just now?]
Clarissa: [Yes]
Soon, she received another 10 or so likes. They were all from her colleagues.
Clarissa knew her colleagues were just trying to get Damien’s attention again.
So, she ignored their likes and comments.
“What do you want to eat tonight? I feel like having some spaghetti. Is that okay?”
“Sure.”
Damien drove to the supermarket to buy the ingredients with Clarissa. In the past, Mrs. Faber had never allowed Clarissa to tag along for grocery shopping. Mrs. Faber was worried that she would be held responsible if something were to happen to Clarissa during their trip.
Damien didn’t mind having Clarissa around. After all, she was the love of his life.
“You really love outings, don’t you?”
“Yes! I never had a chance to go on family trips when I was young. My parents were always busy with work. After my father died and my mom couldn’t walk anymore, I didn’t have the time and money to go on any vacations. After I got married to you, I had to focus on work.” Clarissa sounded miserable when talking about the past.
“What about Zach? Have you guys gone on a vacation before?” Damien looked at Clarissa.
“We rarely go out for outings, but I remember the one time we boarded the bus and toured around Genovia from morning till night. Though we didn’t spend a lot on the trip, we were still happy to be able to spend some time together. I still remember it to this day.” Clarissa smiled when reminiscing about the past days when she and Zach were still a young, innocent couple. When she recalled Zach’s untimely passing, her heart sank.
“I guess you only feel happy around Zach.” Damien couldn’t resist adding a sarcastic remark.
“Stop being sarcastic. You know I’ve got no chance of being together with him anymore.”
Clarissa had said a lot of times that if Zach was still alive, she would’ve been married to him, have kids, and live a peaceful life with him.
Who knew that Zach would pass on and she would be married to Damien in the future?
