“It all started when Damien asked Madelynn to bring some children’s clothing and food to Lucy. He’s never done this before, but he chose to do it this time. He even told Madelynn to do it on his behalf. He knew Madelynn well, and used her to achieve his goal. In fact, I can safely say that he’s the cause of this tragedy. Madelynn heard rumors about what happened between Damien and Lucy, and she naturally thought that Lucy’s child belonged to Damien. Clarissa was overcome with horror.

“They’re in the middle of investigating it,” Iris said. “The truth will be out sooner or later.”
