Love in Twilight novel (Clarissa and Damien) novel Chapter 493

“I don’t cook a lot anymore. Let me know if it’s alright,” Clarissa said, since Chanel was there as well.

Damien’s and Chanel’s food had been packed separately. Chanel was under the impression that she was a third wheel. She felt extraneous and uncomfortable.

“Other than the fish, the rest is mediocre,” Damien commented.

Clarissa was left speechless.

Other than the fish, which she had bought from the university canteen, she had cooked the rest of the food.

Thinking that Damien must have known this, she was sure he was teasing her to make her feel bad.

Clarissa ignored him and watched Logan, who was sitting by the bedside.

The fish was from the canteen, and Chanel knew this as she always ate at the canteen by herself.

Smiling, she said, “Stop teasing Clarissa. Look, her face has gone red.”

It was nearing December, and the sky darkened early. The ward did not have its curtains closed. The darkness of the night outside the ward was a stark contrast to Clarissa’s pale face. Her long eyelashes were distinct, and her eyes were filled with an unworldly innocence, full of youth.

However, she was already a mother.

Clarissa was quite pained by Damien and Chanel’s teasing.

“How nice it is to make fun of me, huh?”

Damien and Chanel exchanged a glance.

It was this one glance that made Chanel fall even more head-over-heels for Damien.

She knew that Damien was looking for Clarissa, rather than herself. Right after their eyes moved away, Damien went on to staring at Clarissa.

It didn’t matter who was in Chanel’s place. Whether it be her or a completely different woman, Damien would have exchanged that look regardless.

Chanel suddenly felt a rush of envy for Clarissa.

“How are you going home later? Are you coming with us?” Damien asked Clarissa.

After thinking about it, Clarissa asked, “How long will it take for Logan to finish?”

“About three hours?” Damien looked at Chanel.
