Love in Twilight novel (Clarissa and Damien) novel Chapter 505

However, Clarissa didn’t use her old phone much. Instead, she preferred her new phone.

After returning to his grandfather’s house, Damien sent Mrs. Faber a text.

Damien: [You should talk to your son and get him to stop interacting with Connie Hale.]

Damien was worried that Connie was making use of Caleb.

After a moment, he received a response.

Mrs. Faber: [Don’t worry, Mr. Lawrence.]

That night, Mrs. Faber called Caleb and had a conversation with him about the incident years ago, detailing how Connie had made life difficult for Clarissa and the like.

Only then did Caleb understand why Mr. Lawrence had warned him about Connie earlier that day. However, Caleb did not rebel against this. Since Connie wasn’t a good person, he would limit his interactions with her.

Caleb could hear the noise of a coughing child through the line.

“Mom, is Neil sick?” Caleb asked. “Mr. Lawrence isn’t there, either. Did you take him to the hospital?”

“It’s fine. He probably caught a cold this morning. I’ve already made him some chicken soup. He’s even had a pear tonight. I’ll make him some honey tomorrow, and he’ll be right as rain soon enough,” Mrs. Faber said.

“Alright. You do your thing.”

The next day after accounting class, Clarissa made Caleb stay in the classroom to talk about Connie.

“Okay, Clarissa, I get it. I’ll stop interacting with her.” Caleb was a little bit annoyed now.

So many people had been bugging him about this just because he had talked to Connie more recently.

He was a young adult, so getting impatient was normal.

“Someone’s already talked to you?” Clarissa asked as she put her books together.

“Yes, Mr. Lawrence and my mother have both mentioned it to me. Right, did you know that your son is sick?” Caleb asked. “I heard Neil coughing while I was chatting to my mother last night. It doesn’t sound right.”

Caleb didn’t mention that his mother was already treating Neil with some home remedies. Otherwise, Clarissa would’ve kept going on about Connie. Caleb had just about had enough of that. There was nothing between him and Connie, but the way they made it sound, it was like they were in some forbidden relationship.

“Neil?” As expected, Clarissa frowned in worry.

Clarissa nearly tripped from the shock. She wondered if Neil’s sickness was natural or manmade.

If it was manmade, then Iris had surely caused it.

Clarissa rushed out of the classroom in a hurry.
