Chapter 76 Damien’s Gesture Alter an hour, Clarissa retumed upstairs only to find Damien sitting on the bed and reading a book

She sat in front of the laptop and looked through Damien’s translations. Though she didn’t understand a word of il, it still seemed oddly detailed to her.

What surprised Clarissa even further was that there was another name underneath the German – translated resume, ‘Donny’. Clarissa asked, “Who’s Donny?”

“Did I write that down?”

“Yeah, see? It’s right here.” She pointed at the name on the screen.

“You don’t have to care about that. Just submit your resume.”

She was confused, but she had a feeling that ‘Donny’ was a name Damien used to hint at HR to get her through the first round of resume filtration. She supposed Lucas would be the only one to understand the person behind that name. Although Damien made it a point that he wouldn’t help her get the position, in the end, he still wrote his name down at the bottom of the resume.

With the recognition of the president of New East Corporation, nobody would dare to ignore Clarissa’s application.

Feelings of gratitude blossomed in her. She realized that Damien had always been helping her all the time, though he never made it too obvious. The fact got her thinking. Once the period of their contract marriage was up, what land of life would she be leading? When Damien decided to marry Madelynn, would Clarissa still have a place in his heart?

Clarissa scanned through both documents and submitted it to the HR department.

She also decided to inform Joseph about her reconsideration to apply as an assistant at his company. Even if she couldn’t make it to the Audit Department, she felt she shouldn’t pursue another job behind Damien’s back, especially after receiving his help

She got on the bed and snuggled in Damien’s arms. Still remaining silent, she could feel tears welling up her eyes.

“Don’t think too highly of yourself. I have a habit of writing my signature under every document I looked through to prevent forging,” Damien said casually.

Clarissa was speechless.

What was his problem? Why would he dampen her spirits like that? In a fit of rage, she reached for the phone and changed the name of his contact to ‘Mr. Unpredictable’.

Damien glanced at her phone and saw what she was doing.
