Love is the Sunshine novel Chapter 588

"There's something that I've been meaning to ask you."

Terence cut to the chase right away without bothering to beat around the bush.

He was actually already aware of what was going on after having just a short conversation.

Then, he headed straight into the bedroom.

The living room wasn't a good place to have a heated conversation given that the kid would be able to hear everything.

"Oh? Is something wrong? What's the matter? —

With confusion written all over her face, Lucy asked as she followed him into the bedroom.

"Have you seen what's on the news this morning? Wasn't it all about you?"

As soon as he entered the room, Terence voice turned cold in an instant and asked, with Lucy right behind him.

"What do you mean by that, Terence? I don't get what you're trying to say."

Raising his eyebrows, Terence suddenly turned around to stare straight at her with his distant and dark eyes.

"Did you seriously think I wouldn't find out about what you did? You went ahead and asked someone to post fake news on the Internet to smear Carla and drag her name to the mud. I can't think of anyone else will do such a thing other than you."

With his eyes glaring at Lucy who was trying to act innocent, Terence exclaimed with a resentful expression on his face.

"Terence, I seriously have no idea what you're even talking about. Now that I'm all alone with my little girl, I've already got my hands full. In fact, I don't even have the time to leave the house anymore. I can't remember the last time I went out. How on earth could I do something like that?"

Lucy replied, abruptly taking a step back.

Terence was getting closer to her one step at a time. "Lucy, I should have you know that I've never been fond of arguing with women. Given that I've come to see you personally, that just means I probably know something already.

You'd better not make me lose my temper!"

Feeling so afraid, Lucy suddenly burst into tears and gazed at him with a look of innocence in her eyes. "Terence, I seriously don't understand a single word that you're saying. What's on the news? Smear? Who's name was I smearing?"

Looking at the tears dripping from her eyes, Terence took out his phone from his pocket and clicked on the screenshot of what was on the headlines.

"Take a look at this. Don't you dare tell me this has nothing to do with you. Are you taking me for a fool?"
