Soon, Logan and Natalie stepped back onto the stage. This time, everything went without a hitch.

When the officiant asked Logan if he would take the woman before him as his wife, through wealth or poverty, in health or sickness, and love her faithfully, Logan answered with conviction. After the applause died down, the officiant asked Natalie the same question.

However, she didn't even look at him. Instead, she smiled sweetly at Logan.

It was a bright smile, but something about it sent a chill down Logan's spine. He had a feeling that the answer Natalie was about to give would be something he couldn't handle. For a second, he didn't want to hear her answer. Not anymore.

Before he could stop her, Natalie answered, "I do not."

Her words were clear, crisp, and final. Both Logan and the guests could hear her loud and clear. After a brief silence, the room descended into chaos.

Logan froze, his body stiffening as he looked at Natalie, his face pale. In disbelief, he asked, "W-What did you just say, Natalie?"

"I said I don't want to marry you, Logan. Not in the past, not now, not ever. Because I hate you!" Natalie abruptly let go of his hand and took a step back.

That hit Logan like a knife to the heart. It was so painful that he could barely keep himself upright.

Just then, the doors burst open. Flashes from dozens of cameras lit up the room as a flood of reporters surged inside. Microphones were shoved in Logan's face as questions came at him like bullets.

All of them were about what Logan had done to Natalie for Clara.

As Natalie's fiancé, why had he been so attentive and caring to another woman? Had he fallen in love with Clara? If Clara's true nature had never been revealed, would the bride on stage that day have been Natalie?

The harsh questions drained the color from Logan's face, and he couldn't even utter a word. For a moment, he felt like he was seeing what Natalie had gone through when she was surrounded by reporters. He finally understood her pain.

However, that wasn't enough for Natalie. She gave the wedding planner a subtle nod.
