Chapter 183
Cordelia tightened the towel wrapped around her, pointing at Merry with a smirk. “She’s the one who needs
the lessons.”
“Indeed,” Everard began slowly, his voice deep and calm. “Her instructor has arrived.”
As he spoke, the sound of footsteps echoed from the changing room, and Bland emerged from the men’s side, wearing nothing but swimming trunks, his body dripping wet.
He must have just showered, for with every step, droplets danced upon his skin, tracing paths down his chiseled collarbones, over the valleys of his pecs and abs, and down his muscular legs, His perfect physique was on full display for all to see.
Merry could hardly tear her eyes away, not even blinking, as if missing a single moment would be a loss.
Cordelia, too, admired the view, her gaze traveling from his chest down to his abs, and just as she was about to let her eyes wander further, a strong pull on her shoulder spun her around. Everard had unceremoniously yanked her back to face him, his cold glare shooting towards Bland.
Caught in his provocative strut, Bland stiffened instantly and, without a word, dove into the pool. A few splashes later, he was at Merry’s feet, his head popping out of the water. He wiped his face with his hands and called out, “Are you coming in?”
Merry, already on edge just being near the pool, was wide–eyed with shock.
Bland was calling her to swim! Fear of water be damned, she was going in! With no hesitation, she nodded her head.
Bland grinned, his eyes full of seduction, and he stood up in the water, extending a hand. “Then let me help you in.”
“…Okay, okay,” Merry replied, her voice betraying her nervousness as she swallowed hard.
She cautiously sat at the edge of the pool, then leaped into the water.
The sensation of weightlessness hit her the moment she submerged, causing her to cling tightly to Bland’s shoulders. The looming threat of suffocation seemed to wash over her as the water’s surface rippled before her eyes.
But then she felt a strong hand grasp her waist, and Bland’s reassuring voice, “Don’t be nervous.”
Merry realized she was in the arms of Bland!
The fear of drowning vanished in an instant, replaced by a racing heart and flushed cheeks. Drowning while in the embrace of her idol seemed like a surprisingly pleasant way to go!
Whatever phobias she had were forgotten in his presence. Her fear of water… had just improved!
Bland chuckled. “Hold on tight.”
Before Merry could respond, Bland had her lying back in the water, his arm supporting her waist as they floated on the surface, slowly swimming towards the other side of the grand, two–hundred–square–meter pool.
Once Everard released Cordelia, she instinctively turned to continue admiring Bland’s physique, only to see the rippling water and the distant bobbing heads – the rest was a blur.
She felt a tinge of disappointment until she noticed Everard standing right in front of her. He had cast aside the towel that had been covering him, revealing a pair of swim trunks hugging his lower body.
Chapter 183
“Like what you see?‘ Everard asked in a drawl.
Cordelia nodded. “It’s not bad.”
“And compared to Bland?” Everard pressed, a dangerous glint in his eyes
Unaware of the peril, Bland, still teaching Merry to swim, felt a chill run down his spine, glancing perplexedly
at the couple on the other side, oblivious to the fact that his fate hung by a thread.
Cordelia pondered seriously for a moment, considering who she preferred as Everard mulled over the hundred and eight ways he might dispatch Bland if Cordelia favored him. Finally, she spoke slowly, “I choose
you.”
At her words, Everard put on a smile.
In the next instant, Cordelia placed her hand on his waist. “You have a nicer waist than he does.”
Everard felt every muscle in his body tense at the soft touch on his waist, a desire igniting in his eyes… His voice slightly hoarse, he said, “I’ve got more strength than him.”
With that, he flipped them both into the pool!
Like Merry initially, anyone unaccustomed to water would instinctively cling to him. As the water enveloped them, Everard let go, expecting her to wrap around him like an octopus. However….
Instead, Cordelia moved through the water like a fish, her body twisting gracefully as she swam away.
Everard was left underwater, his mind filled with question marks: Since when could she swim?!
But he quickly recovered, feigning distress as he let his limbs sink, his body drifting downward…
Predictably, Cordelia turned around and swam back to him.
The moment she grabbed his hand, Everard flipped over, pinning her beneath him, and his lips found hers in a kiss.
Cordelia, who had intended to save him, found herself captured instead, his lips sealing hers with precision.
Floating there, every sense seemed heightened beneath the water’s surface.
The gentle touch on her lips, the way he softly parted them…
