Love You Like I Used To Forget It (Millie Bridge) novel Chapter 109

Chapter 109

Please, Eml.Irvin pleaded. You’re mentally ill. The reason you’re certain you’re innocent is because you can’t remember doing it

I am not mentally Ill!I argued back. Just because there’s a medical record with my name on it that says so doesn’t mean it’s actually true. Take a step back and look closely at the incidents and evidence in the file. Once you do, you’ll see that a lot of things don’t add up.

Irvin had left the medical record behind. After Mr. Holland and the legal big shots had left, I had taken a closer look. I kept going over the unthinkable incidents in the record and every piece of evidence attached.

I started to see holes in the information presented after thinking it through. Perhaps it was because I was much more levelheaded.

Not only had I never drugged Julianne, but I also probably never did anything that was mentioned in the medical record. Similar to Julianne’s drugging case, the evidence attached must have been carefully fabricated. That was why I wasn’t able to recall doing any of these things.

The legal big shots and I shared the same suspicions. Someone might have drugged me or hypnotized me at the time. That person also made it so that I wouldn’t remember any of it. Whoever did it was able to be so discreet that it must be someone close to me.

Irvin was about to speak when he was interrupted by a call, and he urgently left.

News of Mr. Holland calling in legal big shots to help me had also reached Julianne.

She felt murderous. She already knew the video wasn’t solid enough to prove my guilt. She was afraid it wouldn’t be strong enough evidence to convict me.

And now, I had several influential people helping me. This meant the truth would be uncovered sooner or later. Once it was, I would be released. Then, everything she had done would’ve been in vain.

The thought infuriated her. She called Travis over and scolded him fiercely.

She cursed at him, calling him useless because he hadn’t gotten rid of me. So much time had passed, and yet, he hadn’t been able to find someone to get the job done. To her, he was as good as trash.

She had also instructed him to increase the reward and quickly hire someone. This was to ensure I would never

come out alive.

Likewise, Travis wanted to get rid of me as soon as possible too. However

I’m afraid no one dares accept the job right now, Ms. Lianne,he reported.

And why is that?Julianne questioned.

It’s that bitch, Emilia.Travis began explaining, She has some highly influential people helping her. It seems every big shot in the legal industry has come to her aid. Naturally, this has shocked those in the legal community. So now, everyone’s attention is on her.

At this point, she has way too many eyes on her. No one dares to make a move. If they did, they would surely be caught. Not only that, they might be arrested even if they didn’tHe trailed off.

The crime organization they had previously hired had already fled abroad in the middle of the night. This organization was the one responsible for almost killing me in the kidnapping incident.

Julianne lost her temper after hearing Traviswords. She started breaking objects in the house in her fit of rage. Useless! You useless idiot!she screamed loudly as she hi Travis.

Her scream was so loud that they didn’t hear the knock on the door. Thus, no one went to answer it. The person on the other side unlocked the door with a key and entered.

She was about to smash a vase when the person spoke. It was then that she and Travis noticed there was someone else there.

Lianne?The person called out.
