Chapter 234
The guard Immediately called for assistance using his radio and instructed them to head to the man’s rescue, Seeing this, I stopped worrying about the man I had saved, hurried back to the villa to shower and change my clothes.
As I had been in the water and then stood in the cold wind, Cordelia worried I would catch a cold. Hence, she asked our in–house butler to make a large bowl of stew for me while I was showering
I was about to drink the bowl of hot stew when the head of Hotel security knocked on our door. He told us they couldn’t find anyone at the spot I had mentioned.
The news shocked me. While the man’s life was no longer in danger, I was sure he was still unconscious when I left. It was impossible for him to wake up and leave on his own in such a short amount of time.
Plus, I had moved him so far up the beach that he was almost at the path leading to the hotel’s garden. It was also low tide now, so he definitely wasn’t pulled back out to sea. So, how could he have disappeared?
I feared security had searched the wrong area and that the man’s health would suffer from a lack of timely treatment. Thus, I quickly threw on a coat and personally led them to the spot.
However, the man was indeed gone when we got there.
I frowned and was about to voice my thoughts.
But then, one of the guards shouted, “There are drag marks here! Someone must have passed by and taken him away to get treatment!”
Everyone immediately looked over. After confirming what the guard had said, the search was called off. At the end of the day, what mattered was that the man had gotten help
Cordelia and I had decided not to attend the bonfire party after the whole rescue incident. However, we ended up going since we were already out.
The party had just started by the time we arrived. Seeing as it was hosted by a high–end hotel, the event lived up to expectations.
It was exactly as Cordelia promised–chiseled men with blond hair and blue eyes were everywhere. We felt as though we had stepped into heaven.
Cordelia couldn’t contain her excitement.
“The blogs didn’t lie! This hotel’s bonfire party really is full of hot guys!” she exclaimed.
She wasn’t the only one who was excited–I was too!
I had just ended my marriage and wasn’t looking for a new relationship. Despite this, I felt a rush of hormones at the sight in front of me. There were so many attractive men with toned abs.
I suddenly understood why ancient kings had so many wives and mistresses. When presented with such a variety of good looks, who wouldn’t want to have them all if they could?
Felyari people were born romantics, so naturally, the bonfire party reflected this too.

Cordella ventured onto the dance floor not long after we sat down, but I didn’t have the energy to join her. So, I ordered a glass of wine and sipped lightly on my drink as I watched her have fun.
The music selection was exceptional. It felt wonderful to just drink and enjoy the atmosphere even though I didn’t
dance.
