Cordelia chuckled. “That’s true,”

The big shot–who owned the fleet of helicopters–was about to leave the hotel when we went back Word had it that the hotel’s CEO had even specially flown in so he could personally see the big shot off.
“Come on! Let’s go see what this VVIP looks like!” Cordelia excitedly urged.
She had always loved joining in on the excitement, so she grabbed my hand and led me up the stairs by the side of the building. She was eager to see the person who commanded a fleet of helicopters just to pick him up.
Dozens of bodyguards in black emerged just as we reached the third floor. They swiftly formed two neat rows, creating a path between them. Then, a smaller group of elite–looking guards respectfully created a perimeter around the big shot as he walked out of one of the villas.
The big shot was exceptionally tall, even for a Cavashan man, that he stood out even among the men surrounding him. He had great posture and carried himself with the authority of someone who had spent years in a leadership position. He instantly commanded attention when he appeared.
Cordelia and I froze when we caught sight of his face. We had started to become numb to the sight of a man with good looks after being surrounded by so many of them in different skin tones. However, we were still blown away by the big shot’s looks.
We couldn’t find the words to describe it–his looks were… absolutely flawless!
And his presence! It was like that of a king from the Middle Ages–one who was so powerful that he looked down on everything and everyone because he owned the world.
Finding her wits again, Cordelia exclaimed, “Oh my god! Oh my god! I feel like I’m in a real–life novel! His face puts all the domineering CEOS in the novels I’ve been reading to shame! And that presence of his really gives off the vibe of a domineering CEO. That scumbag, Irvin, ain’t got nothing on him!”
Irvin was a domineering and handsome CEO. While he could certainly match this big shot in terms of looks, his presence paled in comparison.
Irvin was young and proud. Also, he was often reckless and still had hints of childishness. Thus, he could never compare to the powerful and dominant presence this man exuded.
I hated Irvin and couldn’t stand the sight of him.
So, when Cordelia said that, I didn’t know why I replied, “Irvin is just young and doesn’t have much experience yet. He would probably have the same air by the time he turns 30.”
Cordelia looked at me with shock as soon as those words left my mouth. I was utterly stunned too. Did I just unconsciously defend Irvin?
“Are you okay, Emi?” Cordelia asked with concern.
She feared that my lovesick brain had kicked in again.
My face instantly drained of all color. I didn’t know what to say.
I hadn’t had a similar dream again after that night, so I had become less afraid that my memories would come back. In fact, I even started thinking I would soon sleep with the hottie as planned. However, I had said those words so naturally.
