Chapter 241
Chapter 241
However, Cordelia said, “I can’t tell.”
Perhaps she had met Julianne too few times, so she didn’t see the resemblance.

“You don’t think she’s Julianne, do you? Do you still think Julianne faked her death and is still alive?” she asked.
I was about to say that was exactly what I thought, but Cordelia spoke again.
“But I heard the housekeeper has been working at this hotel for over a year when I asked around earlier. Hasn’t Julianne been dead for less than half a month? she asked.
I didn’t know what to say because she had a point.
Then, Cordelia added, “Besides, she wouldn’t dare show up in such a place if she did fake her death, would she?”
As a fugitive who had faked her death; Julianne should be hiding in some dark corner because she was too afraid to appear in broad daylight. She surely shouldn’t be in a place like this.
“You have a point…”
I was going to say more when my phone rang.
It was Grandma. She told me she had a bad case of food poisoning and was having diarrhea so severe that she couldn’t stand up. So, she asked me to buy her some medicine.
Diarrhea in the elderly was much more serious compared to younger people. Hence, I abandoned all thoughts and hurriedly put my phone away.
I wasn’t sure if it was the sound of my ringtone or if it was something else–because the big shot suddenly looked up in our direction just as I was about to rush down the stairs.
We accidentally met gazes. The man narrowed his eyes as though he recognized me. However, I didn’t think much of it as I was worried about Grandma. So, I hurriedly left.
Grandma’s diarrhea was much worse than Cordelia’s. I had called for the hotel’s doctor, who prescribed her some medicine and gave her a shot. However, it didn’t seem to help.
Just as I thought of taking her to the hospital, Grandma suddenly remembered something. Reaching into her bag, she took out a small bottle of Diaphoxia.
“I’m really becoming forgetful from my old age. I forgot I brought along this miracle medicine,” she
said.
“Isn’t that for treating heatstroke?” Cordelia asked after looking at the bottle.
“It can also be used to treat diarrhea caused by food poisoning. It works really well for me,” Grandma explained.
Then, she downed the entire bottle.
Cordelia grimaced at the taste on Grandma’s behalf. Personally, she couldn’t stand it.

Grandma’s claim of Diaphoxia being a miracle medicine wasn’t an exaggeration. She had been experiencing stomach pains and was about to make another trip to the washroom. However, her
tomach pain disappeared, and she no longer had the urge to go to the washroom after drinking it.
I helped Grandma lie down after confirming she was indeed fine. It was only after she had fallen asleep that I had the head space to think about the housekeeper who resembled Julianne.
An idea sprung to mind. I called our in–house butler and requested he bring me a copy of the housekeeper’s personnel file. Money truly opened all doors because he soon brought me what I asked
for.
