Love You Like I Used To Forget It (Millie Bridge) novel Chapter 334

Chapter 334

Jeremy immediately lit up, smiling as he warmly welcomed Julianneno, Lumiinto the family.

His sudden change of attitude made Julianne even more smug.

She looked at me with a mocking glint in her eye as if to say, Emilla, you’re pathetic. You had two years, and you still ended up a joke. The moment I showed up, your family stopped caring about you again.

My eyes darkened, and my hands, hanging loosely at my sides, slowly curled into fists.

I didn’t care about these socalled family members anymore. But that didn’t mean I could stomach Julianne. She had repeatedly tried to get me killed. The reason I had suffered a lifethreatening injury in the first place was because of her.

Even if I couldn’t kill her outright, I still wanted her to suffer as much as possible.

It made my blood boil to see someone who should be rotting in prison walking around free and proud.

But Noah once told me that Julianne wasn’t William’s real savior or his girlfriend. The only reason William kept her around and doted on her was that she was useful to him.

Noah had also said that once she outlived her usefulness, William would hand her over to me. He also told me not to act recklessly and turn William into an enemy.

I didn’t want to make William my enemy, either. And honestly, I couldn’t afford it.

Still, it was hard to just stand here and watch Julianne parade aroundespecially at Grandma’s birthday party.

And Lumi isn’t just Mr. Ashford’s girlfriend. She’s also the gorgeous artist who just won the National Masterpiece Award a few days ago!

Lumi had studied art. Julianne had spent the last two years painting to make her fake identity even more convincing. She had a bit of talent, and with William pulling strings for her, she had become a rising star in the art industry.

The moment Mom finished speaking, the room erupted in flattery Everyone swarmed around Julianne, praising her, buttering her up, and treating her like royalty.

The sight made Grandma frown. She pulled me aside and asked quietly, Who is she? Why is your mother suddenly calling her her goddaughter?

Grandma’s health had been declining these past two years. Her vision wasn’t what it used to be, and she could barely recognize people anymore. So she didn’t realize that Mom’s socalled new goddaughter was actually Julianne.

All she could see was how everyone had abandoned me to fawn over her instead.

Grandma felt sorry for me. I could see it in her eyes.

After calming Grandma down, I handed her over to Cordelia. Then found a quiet spot and pulled out my phone, planning to call William and ask him to get rid of Julianne.

If she stayed, I might not be able to hold back. Just as I was about to make the call, Julianne showed up in front of me. Maybe it was because she knew I’d already seen through her. Or maybe she simply didn’t feel the need to pretend anymore. Either way, she dropped the act completely, smiling at me with open malice.

Millie, I heard you got exposed as a homewrecker, pushed the wife, and made her lose her babyand now you’re too afraid to even show your face in public, she said. I was so worried about you, and I just had to come back and check on you. Aren’t I the best sister ever?

She tilted her head, her eyes glinting with mock sympathy. But, Millie, you know what they sayone minute you’re up, the next you’re down.

Back then, I had fought tooth and nail to send her to prison, to crush her spirit and trap her in a nightmare she couldn’t escape.
