Chapter 4 

She really did not like Kayla at all. She felt that Kayla is way too fake. She pretends to be a sweet innocent girl in front of her brothers but then she acts like a bitch behind their back! 

Kayla put on an innocent look when she felt Michael’s and Mile’s sharp gaze on her. Somewhere deep down inside her, she was scared of the alphas because of the way they did things. 

But her urge to be the Luna was stronger than her fear. 

“Michael, Miles, you really won’t believe that about me right? Jenna is the one who’s lying! You know that I’m not a jealous bitch! She’s the one who’s making me look that way!” Kayla said. She looked like she was about to cry now. 

Anyone else who saw her will definitely feel sorry for her. But Michael and Miles both had their doubts about her now. 

“Oh please Kayla. Don’t be such a drama queen! Do you think that my brothers are idiots?” Jenna asked Kayla. She rolled her eyes. Kayla is such a fake and dramatic bitch! 

“Jenna, they are your brothers. There’s no need for you to feel threatened by me. They’ll always be your good brothers. I’m not trying to take their attention away from you. Please don’t be so mean to me. I really want to get along with you” Kayla said weakly. She sounded as if she had been bullied by Jenna. 

She even made sure that a few tears ran down her face as she spoke. 

Jenna was so angry that her chest hurt! Kayla is so good at playing the blame game! 

“Are you telling the truth Kayla? Jenna is the one who attacked you because she is jealous?” Michael asked. He was looking straight at Kayla’s crying face. 

The way Michael looked at her made Kayla feel a whole lot of pressure. She knows that Michael is the most ruthless alpha out of the twins. She didn’t ever want to make him mad. 

The pressure almost made her blurt out the truth but she held out and continued in her lies. 

“Yes Michael. She really said that I’m trying to take her brother’s attention away from her. I swear to God that I’ve never really thought of doing something like that. I don’t even know where she got it from. I will never lie to you babes. Believe me” Kayla said. She gave Jenna a smug look. She was confident that Michael and Miles will believe her. The both of them have always believed her as long as she cried a bit before. 

“Are you sure Kayla? Are you sure that you’ve never lied to us about anything at all?” Miles asked. He knew what Michael was trying to get Kayla to admit. He too wanted her to admit it. 

But Kayla…she seems to be such a seasoned liar. 

How did they not see this part of her before? 

“Yes babes! I’ve never lied to the both of you. Really. I’ll never do anything like that!” Kayla said. 

“Then why didn’t you tell us about your sister? Why did you say that you’re your father’s only child?” Michael asked. 

“What?!” Kayla’s heart sank to her stomach when her “sister” was mentioned. She didn’t want Michael and Miles to ever know that she had a disgraceful sister like Alexia and so she had never mentioned that she had a sister. She didn’t want to admit it now. She had a bad feeling about it. 

“You heard us right. Why didn’t you tell us that you have a sister? Why did you lie to us about that?” Miles continued the questioning. 

DAVE 

“I don’t have a sister! I don’t know where you heard that from! I really don’t have a sister at all!” Kayla said. She was starting to panic now. 

“You’re still 

to us Kayla. Why are you such a pathetic liar?” Michael asked. He was really disappointed with Kayla. He didn’t even want to have anything to do with her ever again. 

“I don’t know…I don’t know what you guys are talking about! I really am not lying! I don’t have a sister” Kayla said. She did not want to admit that Alexia is her sister. Alexia is an embarrassment, 

Besides, she was sure that Michael and Miles who are the alphas who have the strongest wolves in the pack won’t want to know a wolf who can’t even shift. She felt that Alexia will be an embarrassment to her and the alphas will look down on her because she has a sister like that. 

“Once again Kayla, you are still lying. I would have been able to forgive you if you had admitted your lies when I asked you. But you did not. Instead, you kept lying and insisting that you don’t have a sister. We already met her today. Do you still want to deny that you don’t have a sister? Or do you need me to go to your father and confirm if he has another daughter?” Michael asked. There was a cold and dangerous look in his eyes. He looked like he wanted to kill Kayla. 

Kayla swallowed a gulp. She was really uncomfortable. She knew that there was no way for her to keep up the lies. 

“Well….it’s true….it’s true that I have a sister. Her name is Alexia. But I don’t like to talk about her much. Even my dad doesn’t like to tell people that he has another daughter besides me. That is because Alexia is useless! She’s a weak wolf who can’t even shift! She’s an embarrassment to our family!” Kayla said. She wanted to take the chance to paint a bad picture of Alexia so that Micheal and Miles will hate her. 

“I think you’re the embarrassment here Kayla” Miles said. He too was disappointed in Kayla.

Kayla was scared to hear this. She could see the clear disappointment on Miles and Michael’s face. She was afraid that the both of them would reject her as their mate. 

She didn’t want that to happen to her! She wants to be the Luna! 

“No…it’s because she’s weak! She’s a weak wolf who can’t even shift! Why will I care about her?! She deserves to be ignored. The both of you can’t be mad at me because of my useless sister” Kayla said in disbelief. 

She has always been the all rounder. No matter where she went, people will always praise her. Even if she insults and abuses Alexia, people will always stand on her side. 

This is the first time someone is telling her off because of Alexia. 

“We are angry with you because of the fact that you lied to us. We asked you if you’ve ever lied to us but you said no. And yet lied to us about your sister. Besides, do you really think that we won’t know that you’re lying when you said Jenna left you outside on purpose? Do you really think that we don’t know what our sister is like?” Michael asked.
